I was JUST posting about his on another thread...

I couldn't believe how harshly Hackett dealt with Watada through his Watada's father...

For a lib, he surprised me...I thought sure he would say that Watada must not have been raised right..or had teachers that were mean to him...

OR, better yet....that BUSH FORCED Watada to sign the enlistment papers...(he has accused Bush of every other bad thing in the world).

I know I was shocked when I watched it. The KosKids are going to freak. I guess even an uber liberal like Mr Hackett can have respect for the uniform, even if he doesn't have any for the President.

Even Juan Williams wasn't defending Ehren Watada's outrageous remarks on The O'Reilly Factor last night. Actually Juan was hammering Watada.

That twisted father has destroyed his son's life.

Say what you want about Hackett, but he has proven several times in recent weeks that he IS still a Marine. He quickly came to the defense of both the 3/1 and 3/5 guys. You may not agree with his politics, but he doesn't appear to be the type to throw his brother Marines under the bus.

One does wonder why Bob Watada gave his kid a German name. I did some searching but couldn't find Bob's father, etc., to see if maybe he wasn't a Black Dragon Society member back in the 1930s.

Hatada's father was, himself, an anti-American protester during the Vietnam war. I'm sure the father Watada is as proud of his son as he can be. I can't bring myself to call the traitor Watada by his military rank. He's a coward hiding behind the skirts of the war protesting anti-American left.

What about Nick Berg's father as a nutcase?

It is eerily similar.

My opinion is that he turned out to have too much honor, that's why the democrats threw him overboard.

I have seen Juan on Fox, at times other than on the Sunday Show...when he actually makes sense..and takes a more middle road..

Something makes me think part of his Sunday "talk" is an act..after all, it gets him a LOT more attention..than to be moderate.

I just wonder if he realized he was being USED by the dems when he ran against Jean Schmitt...and then when he said he was going to run for the Senate...

OOPSY, the DEM hierarchy (Soros?) pulled the political rug right out from under him.

Perhaps he realized that...and decided to NOT play politics anymore with the troops, and maybe even the war.

I say good for him, for tonight....and if he keeps it up, with the Marines he is helping..he won't hear anything negative from me.

Do you remember that soldier that came home a couple years ago..named Reichart?? He had a bald head...and I think he helped form some kind of group like Veterans for Peace or something...

One day, he was on Hannity and Colmes, debating the Haditha incident..and he was opposite Ollie North...

WELLL....there wasn't any of the smart-alecky talking points about the war and Bush...and all of the stuff he made famous on Chrissy Matthew's show...nope, he ACTED like a Marine...and pretty much stood back and let Ollie take the lead..(respect I think they call it)..

A couple of days after that...on Chrissy's show..he was on again..and THIS time, he acted more like he did with Ollie, instead of like he did the other times with Chrissy..

SOOOOO..I wonder if some of these troops that are coming back, and being put on TV, specifically to bash Bush...are finding out that you don't mean anything to those people.?

He basically said that Watada was way out of line with his remarks, and that Watada (having volunteered for duty by his own volition) is basically a coward for trying to weasel his way out of duty.

It's just like their Deserters...They parade them around, puffing them up as heroes until the Conviction at Courts Martial. Then they drop them like a hot rock and move onto the next useful idiot. Watch what happens to Wahtada after conviction.

That being said...I can't see how a military man throws in with the Dems. Their track record of slashing Defense and undermining the soldier is plain for all to see.

I will go you one better....

How do you think the troops that served under Weasley Clark feel??? To have taken ORDERS from a man that is totally lib and looney tunes??

I would like to give the troops the possibility that they are being "caught" by the lib/anti-war machine at their most vulnerable..like right after a bad episode...or just back from a long stint in Iraq...

BUT, if they have the "wits" to fight in that kind of war, and survive, I would think they would have the "wits" to see right through the GAME the dems are playing by USING them.
