Over the years, Democrats have mastered the art of name-calling. Whether it be the use of the race card, or outright calling Republicans murderers, the Dems sure do dish it. However, its truly educational to watch them become so unbalanced when they are given a small but effective dose of their own medicine.
Its also sad to watch a Republican apologize for a valid slam, not because hes being nice, but because hes an ignoramus.
On the Friday June 7th edition of the Detroit News, the following headline appeared with a controversial ad underneath:
"Anti-Granholm ad taps Nazi images Full-page splash in the Michigan Chronicle urges African-Americans to ditch allegiance to Democrats..."

Excellent. Powerful stuff.
Mich Gov Jenifer Granholm (D) is a Canadian-born Socialist, whose currency for election and while in office has always had a dear "honey-chile" sweetener in it for every special interest victim group she plays to, buying their votes with taxpayer dollars.
Blacks have accomplished a lot in the 40 years they have voted democrat. That said, they do need at least two parties to keep pols honest, just like the rest of us.
The Democrat Party certainly takes blacks for granted. The next big battle within the party will occur when Blacks find that the Dems are fixated on attracting Latinos. Prediction: Over the next two decades Black democrats, especially those in the middle class, will feel the shaft and could be easy pickings for Republicans.
Yeah. In 2000, a Detroit police officer advised me to move my mom out of the city after a mugging. He told me that she couldn't be protected. When I asked him what's going to happen after all the good people leave, I will never forget his answer: "We are already at that stage".
Detroit is an open sewer of crime.
Where are you moving to and can we come with you???
Maybe you should spend more time on our side of the State. We have only small pockets of hell over here.
When Detroit allowed itself to be overrun with and taken over by Muslims, we knew there was a problem. The combination of Granholm and Stabinow sealed Michigan's fate.
Although I have never been there, it's too bad about all of this. I hear Michigan used to be a nice place.
Hooray Bob! Great article. Thanks.
Anytime.
Some things keep me up at night.
No she didn't. Granholm and the GOP legislature raised taxes on cigarettes and casino earnings and some fees like hunting licenses. If your property taxes went up, that was at the local level.
Where'd you come up with that? There are lots of ways to fault Granholm, like her inability to create a better business climate, but she'd hardly "sweetening special interest victim groups with money." Her only discretionary spending seems to be the "cool cities" grants, which have totalled $2 million over 4 years.

There's a bunch of state money going to cities. The "cool cities" designation simply opens the purse strings for other goodies not designated "cool."

"The attention the Cool Cities program drew to the 19 local communities spurred significant monetary investment from various entities. In total, over $350 million was contributed by local ($63 million), state ($109 million), and private ($174 million) organizations.
I like Holland and a few places over on that side of the state, but the filth from about telegraph to the lake is so overwhelming, it ruins the whole state.
I drove up Mack Ave from downtown to 10-12 mile to go to an Italian bakery...
All I saw was trash and human trash. Mile after mile of it. i have no idea how people can live that way, maybe they aren't people, living in hell has changed them, the next evolutionary step.
I was never that down on Detroit before, I like some spots...but downtown isn't really Detroit.
