Palestinian Prime Minister Ismail Haniya, head of the Hamas-led government, has slammed Israel's "insane war" against Lebanon and called for a halt to the offensive. "Insane war" is apparently different from "holy war."

...and removing the letter 'M' from the alphabet...Then, what? The American Taxpayer would then have to fund Sesame Street.

"There must be a return to the language of reason," Mr Haniya said. Now who taught him how to say that? "Language of reason" is not in any terrorists' vocabularies. What he's trying to say is we are getting our butts whipped.

The Lebannese government has NO power to put an end to anything connected with Hezbollah. If they want to this and need help, all they need to do is ask. They can even do it sub rosa :)

How ironic that it only takes 1 day for the U.N. to condemn Israel and it takes forever to condemn North Korea. The UN has not passed a resolution condemning Israel as far as I know. Admittedly, there was an attempt.

Right..... I get it, you're saying that the Lebanese military is so weak that Hizbollah would kick it's butt should Lebanon try anything.

How can this be? I thought Hamas said that they drove the IDF out of Gaza, and soon to be the West Bank?

You are right. The Lebanese government was too weak and disordered prior to the past week to be of any real authority. They couldn't even make Hezbollah disarm under a UN rule banning militias. So Hezbollah said call us The Resistance and that seemed to make everything just hunky-dory. All Hezbollah needs is a bigger crack at taking over the entire country. Israel intends to destroy Hezbollah.
