To me this is another clear sign we are in the end times.

Sounds like Sodom and Gomorrah just before it was destroyed... the world didn't end then either.

I posted elsewhere about what I will call "aggressive prayer." This is the insistence I have witnessed (twice now) of people insisting on praying in public facing somewhere specific (apparently Mecca).

First it happened in the commodities exchange where I worked, when a Dell tech came and, after making a small computer repair for one of the traders, started asking if he could pray facing Mecca on the trading floor (after most markets were closed). I asked myself, "why here, why now, why not privately or in a park or wherever..." We later learned that he was rather irrascible with the security personell.

The second time was just the other day, leaving the gym, a block from WTC. A street vendor spread out his little oriental rug and made no secret of standing their with his hands raised droning on and on, again, facing the wall of a building at a very specific angle...I don't know who else does that. I thought it in pretty bad taste, to say the least.

I mean, if a someone blew up your building in the name of Catholicism and then I came to your town and insisted on praying very visible public rosaries, couldn't I be considered to be, at the least, an inconsiderate dimwit? At the worst, sort of spitting in your face?

It'll take a long time to wean the masses from the entitlement mentality.

And some truly hard times without a nanny government. I don't want to see it - I like the good life myself - but that is what it will take to wean them as you say. They'll either wean or die on the vine.

I am glad you posted this. I am still in shock as I once thought Bevelacqua was one of the good guys.

He is just another cheap anti-semite. Dime a dozen.

We're not quite that far along, yet... close though. I'm waiting to see what happens with Syria because we'll know better if we are near the times mentioned in Ezekiel 38/39.

Not into Syria. IAF took out Lebanon military coastal radar which was being used by Hezzies for control of the big missiles. Will be a lull for a few days while getting Americans and others out of country then back full force. Reporting further as long as seven weeks to clean them up in Lebanon. Saudi Arabia sent word to Israel via the US to do what it had to due to get rid of the Hezzies. (not sure I believe, just reporting).

Good thing this admin doesn't let the media influence their decisions.

Just hope that W doesn't start calling for a cease fire.

Augmentin. First time I had ever had a reaction to a penicillin drug. Luckier it wasn't any worse, because I was home alone, and the blood pressure drop really made me stupid fast.

Codeine gives me spasms in my digestive tract, which means I can take it, but I will have to take medicine later for the pain it will cause.

But anything interfering with the respiration is bad. I get spasms in my vocal chords that mimic an asthma attack. It would get harder and harder to breathe in. (I have learned a breathing technique to deal with it that really works, but before that, all I could do was run away from whatever triggered me.) SCARY!!!!!!

Somehow, I think it goes back to spoiled little boomer kids and Johnson's Great Society concept...
