“Rush Limbaugh’s ignorance and willingness to divide Americans knows no bounds. His latest statement about Israel is beyond offensive to all of us who have fought to protect Israel in the face of enemies committed to its destruction.

[Wasn't Rush mostly quoting Thomas Sowell in this argument?]

Rush did quote extensively from Sowell and pretty much agreed with what he quoted. Rush also spent the majority of this week on Israel and used much of it ripping pacifist UN types (including those in the MSM and among Democrats) for their misguided policies which perpetuate violence by not allowing a resolution to situations such as what Israel has been forced to abide by in the Middle East.

Talk about cheap shots...a fat joke about Rush? That's not even creative.

A fat joke. Sounds like something Al Franken would say.

Rush Limbaugh needs to pick up a history book instead of a donut. It was a Democratic president who first recognized the State of Israel. It was a Democratic President who first sold Israel defensive weapons. And it was a Democratic President who first sold Israel offensive weapons.

Hey, horse-face (remember the Donut?) we are a Democratic Nation (a Representative Republic to be precise).
When you talk about your buddies, please refer to them as "Democrats"...for,there is a big difference between "Democratic" and "Democrats"

Democrats may have supported Israel at one time, but not any more

Must've been before my time, and I've been around for almost 36 years.

I didn't know Rush was running for office.

Bush isn't either, but that ain't stopping Ned Lamont from running against him.

Running against Rushed worked very well for Howard Dean.

Just what I was thinking. Rush was even bummed out when Howard didn't screech Rush's name in his speeches.

BTW, Kerry's site says he is "representing the birthplace of America." If the birthdate of America is July 4, 1776, it didn't happen in Massachusetts.

And they say Bush is an idiot.

The first president to recognize Israel was President Truman on May 14, 1948.

Kerry: "Rush Limbaugh needs to pick up a history book instead of a donut."

Kerry is trying to sound a note with those who never pick up the history books and if they did, much of it would be lost to brain cells saturated by hallucinogens. Ketchup Boy himself must have been smoking pot and had nice fat donuts dancing in his brain. Otherwise, the quip about donuts was a bigoted allusion to those fighting obesity. So, now that the Left cannot indulge in their natural incivility with racist comments about blacks, they are now going after the obese. Kerry shows how out of touch with reality he is making such an allusion. The facts are that Rush is no longer the Pillsbury Dough Boy that he once was, and is doing a fine job controlling his weight.

The question is, what is Kerry doing to control his addiction to lies? If lies were donuts, Kerry would be one fat Rat.

"Savage will probably ask him out to dinner at Savage's favorite Italian Restaurant . . . "

I heard Savage talking about his latest dinner guest. I am certain he was taking about Ron Russell of the San Francisco Weekly. His column, entitled "Inside The Savage Nation" appeared July 19th, 2006. It describes Savage as "trolling" Greenwich Village in a beret and palling around with Allen Ginsberg. The bombshell statement that have had Savage ballistic was, "the staunch anti-abortionist's first wife had two abortions during their marriage. And certainly not the fact that he was once Timothy Leary's gatekeeper at the LSD experimenter's farm."

It is interesting to note that Savage today wondered if the insanity of the Left was due to the sexually transmitted diseases they have contracted through their liberal lifestyle. One could speculate that Ketchup Boy Kerry cooked a few brain cells of his own with his lifestyle choices.

"Not many of today's Democrats would vote for Truman."
Probably. They'd get a conniption fit over the following:

http://www.struat.com/election/2004_09.html

April 17, 1952
"President Truman indicated today that he believed he or any United States President had the theoretical power to seize newspapers and radio stations to protect the national welfare in war or great emergency.
But a White House spokesman quickly added that it was "absolutely unlikely" anything of that nature ever would have to be done.
Mr. Truman's view, given at a news conference, startled some of the editors here for the annual meeting of the American Society of Newspaper Editors.
Controversy has boiled over the President's seizure of the steel mills. One of the visiting editors asked the President: "If it is proper under your inherent powers to seize the steel mills, can you in your opinion seize the newspapers and the radio stations?"
Mr. Truman replied that under similar circumstances the President the President had to do whatever he believed was best for the country.
[...]
Several of the editors, many of whom attended the press conference, did not believe the President actually meant he had power to take over radio stations and newspapers.
Anthony F. Jones, president of Newspaper Editors and editor of the Syracuse (NY) Hearld-Journal, said: "What I thought the President meant was that he has the power to take over steel. It would be putting words in his mouth to say anything else."
But Walter M. Harrison of Oklahoma City, former president of the society, said: "I think he meant he could take over the papers, radio, and everything else. If that isn't on the edge of totalitarianism, I don't know what is."

April 18, 1952
The White House minimized today President Truman's remark yesterday implying that he had the power to seize newspapers and radio stations in an emergency.
Joseph Short, White House press secretary, was asked for clarification or amplification of Mr. Truman's answer to a question at his news conference.
"It was a purely academic and hypothetical question and there is no amplification or comment to it," Mr. Short said.
A reporter then said that some editors, members of the American Society of Newspaper Editors, seemed to interpret Mr. Truman's reply as affirmative.
"You can quote them on it," Mr. Short retorted.
........"

I'm surprised you were able to get to it. As I just posted after my initial post at Freeper Canteen, my link didn't work for me and has to be copied/pasted in the Address Window to work. Anyway, thanks for checking it out.
