If Israel is judged in the same way as the Hezbos, what does it matter if a launcher was there or not?

What the heck is the Qana building? Why do you assume that we would know what it is?

Israel has already said there were rocket-launcher sites adjacent to the building, but that the building was not a target and hitting it was a mistake. Does the video show rocket launchers actually on or in the building?

The Israeli ambassador, Dan gillerman, told Tim Russert they will shortly release a video showing rockets being launched from this town, right next to a 3 story building, very similiar to the one that was hit.

In the meantime Washington has issued a statement saying that Israel needs to exercise restraint. PTUH! Hey White House, what don't you understand about THIS:
"Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, the chief of Hezbollah group, has pledged open war on Israel after it bombed his Beirut home on Friday in a dramatic expansion of the latest Israeli assault.
"You wanted an open war. You will get an open war," Nasrallah said in a telephone message broadcast live on Hezbollah television after the attack.
You wanted open war, well you got open war

This deserves its own thread. Qana is today's talking point of all the Hezzbie backing MSM. It needs to be refuted, though most IDF bashers won't give a hoot anyway.

THE PRO-TERRORIST media, who hates President Bush more than they love America or the troops they pretend to care about, has ZERO historical reference to warfare and views terrorists as the moral equivalent to Israel. BIN LADEN WAS RIGHT - THERE ARE AMERICANS HE COULD COUNT ON

Very sad that the terrorists continue to put their children in harms way.
But it's better PR for them to shove them in a building next door to their rocket launchers than to do the usual and send their kids out to throw rocks at tanks and strap bombs on them to commit murder-suicide.
Of course their collaborators in the media never portray the murder of their own children as a bad thing, and only blame Israel for their deaths.
Sigh, a decades old PR stunt, God help their children to someday create a civilized community for themselves.

This "incident" seems conveniently timed and I don't trust the Lebanese for one minute.
The damaged buildings and injured people were shown on TV back in 1982 and the United States ended up sending in Marines between Arafat and the Israelis.
We all know what happened next.
Is the United States pressuring Israel to limit its "use of force" in Lebanon? Bush and Rice have used "restraint" so many times. Its bad enough with clowns like Peretz in charge in Israel, but has the United States tied Israel's hands here.
This situation is a no-win scenario that only makes sense if the United States intends to deal with Iran next year.
We don't do "wars" in election years.
Hezbollah is running interference for Iran to divert attention while they build the bombs. Keeping the ball focused on the target means tamping this problem down but its sad to see Israel being restrained into a no-win scenario.

Hezbollah rocket-launcher sites were adjacent to the buildings. Hezbollah are the evil ones.
