Here's one you don't see every day:

25,000 Stolen Sauce Packets Returned To Taco Bell (IN)

Several masked people this week entered a Taco Bell restaurant and left six 40-gallon trash bags filled with apparently stolen sauce packets, Marion police said.

The bags, which contained 25,000 sauce packets, were accompanied with an apologetic note that said the packets were stolen over a three-year period.

The note's author wrote that the group felt guilty and decided to return the packets, police said.

Explosive situation (CA)

The FBI and Pasadena police are working together to catch a man who they say stole thousands of dollars Monday during a brazen afternoon robbery of the Union Bank of California on East Colorado Boulevard.

The suspect, who did not wear a mask and appeared to be of Middle Eastern descent, left a briefcase in the bank that he claimed was packed with explosives. After evacuating the 10-story building and shutting down nearby streets, officers found the briefcase to be empty, said Pasadena Police Cmdr. John Perez.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at (626) 744-4517.

I missed this post.

A. More than 60 trash can stolen IS definitely worth noting. Trash cans can be used for so many things.

---

B. They returned 25,000 sauce packets to Taco Bell.
I hope all 25,000 were dumped in the trash and not reused.
Something about this story just doesn't ring right.
