These people are like aliens to me. I don't understand how

How can you make these assumptions? There are young women who have been raped and carried to term who didn't raise their babies. They chose adoption.
There really isn't much difference between graduates of the 2 universities I am afraid.
A U of M graduate can usually be found behind a desk leading large numbers of people in successful enterprises, or pacing up and down the office pondering momentous business decisions.
Pretty much the same with a State grad, except that it's not behind but rather under the desk with a fifth of whiskey, it's not inside the office but outside in a back-alley, and instead of pacing they are knuckle-dragging.

But wait, it gets even sillier! Guess what the motto for the State U and their press office is?
"Advancing Knowledge, Transforming Lives."
So they are advancing knowledge by incorrectly claiming that a fetus is not a life-form, and they are transforming lives as in calling humans tapeworms whose life can be cold-bloodedly terminated!

I heard exactly the same thing 40 years ago, and it wasn't new then.
It was wrongheaded then, and it's wrongheaded now.
But I don't think those who spout this garbage care about right or wrong.
They're just trying to justify their selfish actions.
