The Shiite mullahs who rule Iran and have seized the leadership of the Islamofascist war against us are as dangerous an enemy as America has ever faced. [snip]
In the 1980s, Irans mullahs created Hezbollah, a Shiite Arab terrorist group in Lebanon, and used it to drive us from that country the way they drove us from Iran, but this time, they didnt just humiliate us and mock our impotence; they tortured and murdered our embassy people in Beirut, and blew up 241 of our marines.
[snip]
We should not wait, passively, for the Iranians to unveil their surprise. We should light up the skies with our own surprise: a massive aerial bombardment that wipes out most of Irans nuclear facilities, and decimates the ranks of its mullahs as well as those of the Revolutionary Guard and Basij forces that keep them in power ... Retired air force Lt. General Tom McInerney already has a plan to wipe out most of Irans nuclear facilities from the air. As Ive argued, we should augment it with additional targets and let fly, as soon as possible, with no forewarning, for maximum effect. Lt. Col. Gordon Cucullu, one of the few who argues in public for a similarly bold course sums it up this way:
By waiting for a first strike we are put in a position of playing a retaliation game after we have already endured unacceptable losses in population and perception. Once America and Israel are seen as weak enough to defeat, then the international jackals will all join in for the kill. This is what our enemies hope to accomplish We face a crisis of major proportions. Hesitation may be fatal.
Hes right. The time to act is now.

That said, the seperation and recognition of individual rights from the state is a good thing, and would pay healthy dividends to all, especially in the Mid East, were they to employ them. Religion won't allow it. The state resists it. A free people demand it.
What brought me here initially was a desire to 'roll back' excessive powers that accrued to the state/fed that seemed to negate protections guaranteed to individuals by our constitution. If liberty and freedom are the yardstick by which we must measure our bravery, then God help us. Cowardice abounds. Collective cowardice may appeal to those clinging to the hope that tyranny may be averted-- given a certain strength in numbers, but it too will fail.
The only thing that has true lasting power is freedom. Dictatorships, oligarchies, communal societies, all fail as they are built upon a false premise. None accept freedom and individual liberty as a necessary foundation for a lasting society. Lacking a solid foundation, whatever one choses to build above it remains at risk.
I'd stuff that baby with pork chops and Ginny smoked hams. I doubt if the ole 12th Imam would make it into the Muslim whorehouse heaven stinkin' of hog.
Hell, we can't even get MOST democrats to even admit the War on Terror is a "Real War"
They think the WoT was 9/11 and Afganistan. They hate Bush so much that they have to SO want Iraq to be something different.. so much so that they are now having to ignore the issues in Spain, Bali, India, Lebanon, Iran, Syria, everywhere...
Obviously there is a very real "World War" going on, but quite literally the entire democrat establishment and grass roots not only is not on board or on our side, or even taking a back seat, but are FIRMLY with our enemy, willingly and happily being exploited to the detriment of the USA.
Add in the MSM is on their side, and its 3 on 1. We are holding our own, but tragically, it look like it will take ALOT more people dying on our side (within the USA) before that 47% will even ALLOW us to do what needs to be done. To say nothing of actually contributing.
