Especially if they decide to employ Iraq's WMD's.

Yeah you do that. That would give us an excuse to kick some Syrian butt.

why we aren't squeezing these maggots like a vice is beyond me (Israel from the west... USA from Anbar/Iraq)
To: Perdogg
Give peace a chance? BS! They want a regional war, I think they should get one! Iran and Syria plus the major powers behind them, have a plan in mind.

Now THAT's a real threat.
Once Syria joins the war on the other side, your victory is assured.

Israel has the green light for Lebanon.
I doubt the same is true for Syria.

Syria is BLUFFING out their a** bigtime!!!

I heard two pundits on FOXNews yesterday -- one, an ex-CIA guy who's always on -- state that the US had to sit down forcefully with Syria & Iran and work out a deal. I was dumbfounded.
When I was a kid... I often wondered how Europe could have put itself in the position it found itself in 1938. How the Nazi's built a war-machine in the 1930's... while England & France disarmed. How college students signed the Oxford Pledge as Hitler paraded into Austria.
Now I know.

They are bluffing. Syria's Air Force will be gone within a few days. Bashir's castles will be gone within a couple hours. Most of their Russian tanks will eliminated in a week. Also, to the east they have the U.S. military to worry about.

"If Israel attacks Syria by any means, on the ground, in the air, our leadership ordered the armed forces to reply immediately" Walid Muallem, Syrian foreign minister The ONLY reason that they would be talking like this is that they have rigged a chem/bio warhead for a long range missile.

LOL. Talk's cheap. Syria will fold as quickly as a cheap suit. The reality is they will do nothing except go to the UN and ask for a resolution against Israel. The Golan still remains in Israel's hands. Why haven't they done anything about that? Because they can't.

Why would Israel "attack" Syria? Hot pursuit of Hezb'allah? I also think this is big talk from small minds...Syria's na-na moment.

Hehehe,,,, first Syria threatened to attack Israel if Israel invaded or moved troops into Lebanon in any way. Well, that has come and gone. So I guess the next threat is to get involved if Israel attacks Syria. Well wouldn't that kind of be expected of any country if attacked (whether justified or not)?

We need to stay out of this. If we enter we have to look ate what the Russians may do.. The Russians are stirring the pot. What I feel isneeded is for some Amricans to "Volunteer" to help Israel. Much like Americans volunteered to help the Brits back in 1939. Volunteer to fight with Israels Air Force while we lend-lease them and airplane to fight in ,an a crew to maintain it.

That's a misleading headline in that article. They aren't going to "support Hezbollah" at all. They'll respond if Israel attacks them, that's it.
