HARTFORD, Conn. — As Democratic Sen. Joe Lieberman fights for his political life, his campaign on Tuesday accused his opponent's backers of hacking into the senator's campaign Web site and shutting it down just in time for Connecticut's primary Election Day.

It will be really interesting to hear what Lamont will say in his "Victory" speech. Lieberman just punctured it like a balloon.

He's no longer a Democratic senator, is he?

The most important thing to Joe Lieberman is that he be a "Senator." He needs to remain in power. It's not a good for America thing, it's a need he has.

Those are the races where there is any doubt over the outcome.

Noooooooooooooooooooo...he wants ALL "partisan politics" to stop.

He's still a SORE LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSERMAN.

He's asking for people all over the country to send him money, so that he can "stop the partisan politics' in D.C.! He wants Dems and GOPers and Indies to join him and come to Conn. and help him and oh, BTW, SEND MONEY.

He's beating the term "partisan politics" to death!

C'mon! Us long-suffering Gopher football fans only get to see the Little Brown Jug every 20-25 years!

You guys should be OK with giving it up for a year every now and then!

I don't know if this has already been pointed out in the thread (way too big to read it all), but it seems to me that the upcoming Lamont-Lieberman rematch in November bodes badly for the 3 CT House Republicans, as turnout among Dems and particularly anti-war Dems will likely be quite high. This applies to Chris Shays in particular, who I suspect is going down in flames come November.

You know, it's kind of interesting. Six years of Bush. Three elections trying to beat Bush and the Republican Senate and House and today the biggest victory for the Moonbats comes by defeating ...

Joe Lieberman???

Joe is giving his concession speech commenting how much closer the race was from what the pundits predicted. He's going to run as an Indy although hasn't said it officially yet!

He just said he's going to file the papers/register tomorrow morning with the CT Secretary of State's office to run as an Independent for Senate in November.

After hearing Lieberman, Lamont's eyes will be bugged-out twice as much as they normally are when he spews his victory drivel in about 10 min.......

....on the plus side, the Dems will have to pump serious money into that district to insure the win.

She might not even match her vote total from the primary. Johnson, on the other hand, not only picked up Coyne's voters but will probably add 7 to 9 thousand more in added voters.

I agree with that. It's kind of scary.

He said he would always vote his conscience, regardless of the outcome.

Well, the "outcome" is he lost.

And yet he's gonna sell his soul and run in another "party."
