In the case of Rick Rescorola, he died in the WTC on 9/11/01, so any claiming being done after the fact is being done for him. He was a genuine hero on 9/11. Rescorola was the chief of security for Morgan Stanley Dean Witter. Many eyewitnesses related how he got all but a few of MSDW's 2000+ employees out before the tower collapsed. He could have gotten out many times but never did.
The story goes something along the lines of after the first WTC attack in 1993, Rescorola expected there to be a bigger and worse attack.
Thanks for setting the record straight early in the thread.
He really was a super class hero.
I respect reasonable skepticism.
But there is hereon a cadre of naysayers who's major doctrine are 'agin'it'
"cain't happen 'cause I never imagined it or figured out how it possibly could happen given my world view, cosmology and constructions on reality and since I'm close to God or exceed God in brilliance, I'm obviously always right."
'cain't ever happen (for above reasons).'
'I haven't allowed it to happen so it won't happen.'
'My pride couldn't stand it happening so it won't happen.'
'My rebellion couldn't stand it happening so it won't happen.'
etc.
etc.
etc.
Sheesh.
The times we live in are convoluted and complex. Science itself is finding mystifying realities aplenty, still.
Things are likely to get more convoluted and complex before it's over.
Humility and caution before abject knee-jerk; arbitrary, arrogant naysaying would seem to be THE MORE RATIONAL approach . . . but not by those of the high priesthood of naysayers hereon.
Sheesh.
OK,
Offending button found--now again in the "off" position. We now return you to your regularly scheduled FREEPING.
Sigh.
It worked out that I could view it again. I had seen this one before. I make an exception for this gentlemen. I DO believe he FORSAW a second attack. He KNEW it would happen again after the 1993 attack. He's a good guy.
