N. Korean Authorities Urge Civilians to Evacuate Near Site of Possible Nuke Test (Breaking)
Headline News Yahooo Japan (in Japanese) JIJI PRESS ^ | 19 August 2006 | JIJI Press, quoting Joongang Ilbo Daily

Posted on 08/18/2006 7:46:33 PM PDT by AmericanInTokyo

Reports from Seoul Korea, (daily newspaper Joongang Ilbo in Seoul) via the Japanese Jiji press agency, that South Korean intelligence has intercepted radio messages/communications in North Korea, which were aired last month, to civilians in the Kilju County, Northern Hamgyeong Province area of northeastern D.P.R.K., to evacuate.

The source in the South Korean government said "our interpretation is that following North Korea's underground nuclear blast test, they wish to head off any escape of radiation that would be a threat to the nearby civilian population and are evacuating as such."

I could maybe see a tatical used in the field, but we won't pop the top on a ICBM unless there is confirmed incoming.

if america dont get its act togeather soon we will be radioactive ash its that simple

Exactly.  If this is the way we would have run WWII the result would have been a lot different.

At some point we need to say 'enough is enough' and take care of business.  I worry we may wait until it's too late.

What did I miss?

I was offline for a month when i dumped all my phone lines and went wireless.

My PC crashed about the same time, so I just got this rig working and overhauled with all new bells and whistles and got a cable modem.

Hahaha ... sad but true.  Tom Cruise's baby has gotten more press coverage than Korth Korea's supposed upcoming nuke test.  We are back to pre-911 thinking.  We may never learn.

No shooting in the early morning. It disturbs the karma of the catz.

There is a third way.... Pull the drat-blasted, whatchamcallit battery off that sonofarealwhirling**** phone.

That way, there is no alarm clock, and fools calling about a network failure are easily ignored.

Zen... Change comes from within.

It is good to be a SysAdmin again. Much Tao balance in this.

And for those that don't know me..... < /SARC> except for where I was serious. About the Tao Balance... (smirk)
