Michael Scheuer, who once headed the CIA's bin Laden unit, says bin Laden has been given permission by a young cleric in Saudi Arabia authorizing al Qaeda to "use nuclear weapons against the United States ... capping the casualties at 10 million."

"He's had an approval, a religious approval for 10 million deaths?" I asked him.

"Yes," Scheuer responded.

I can't help but be curious why they "cap" deaths at 10 million.

I like the way any Moslem cleric can put out an authorization for mass murder. It makes the Pope's supposed power look non-existent. And it also shows that there is no concept of mercy or tolerance in Islam.

What makes the cleric so special? The same thing that made the circuit court judge who declared NSA intercept of overseas telephone calls unconstitutional -- Judge shopping! Bin Laden was probably doing what the ACLU does, find a judge that will agree with its position to help destroy this nation.
