A debate would afford the nutjob too much respectability.

As I said for the poll.....this is dumb. Please folks, we all know the story.

Maybe instead of a debate, the US could show them firsthand how to blow up a nuclear bomb.

Ahmadinejad is playing to his friends like Kerry, Gore, Clinton, and the rest of his new coalition.

[Ahmadinejad condemned the U.S. and British roles in the world since World War Two. "Isn't it time that international relations are founded on democracy and equal rights of the nations?" he asked. "I suggest holding a live TV debate with Mr George W. Bush to talk about world affairs and the ways to solve those issues.]
Democracy? In Iran? Since when?
["The debate should be go uncensored in order for the American people to be able to listen to what we say and they should not restrict the American people from hearing the truth."]
That is as opposed to the "truth" that his government always gives to the Iranian people (those who are not hanged for opposing the Iranian Govt.
[Ahmadinejad brushed off calls by John Bolton, U.S. ambassador to the U.N., for sanctions if Iran ignores the U.N. deadline.]
Sounds like he is not worried about sanctions given that his Russian and Chinese friends are there to help.
Turn Tehran into a glass parking lot and be done with it!

"A nation that has been able to attain the nuclear fuel cycle with its bare hands can solve any other problems." I'm not shaking hands with him any sooner than about ten half-lives of U-235, which is about 7.6 billion years.

Invite him to the ranch for a mountain biking duel. Then put him in chains (after the ride).

Put it on television. I would pay money however to see the look on Ahmadinehad's face when Bush informs him on live TV that Iran's nuclear facilities are at that moment being totally destroyed, then runs the bombing footage live and finally has half a dozen Marines frog march Ahmadinejad off camera under arrest as an international terrorist.

"He also said Iran would consider renewing ties with the United States but that it was up to Washington to act after cutting relations shortly after the 1979 Islamic revolution. "
This guy really knows how to soften up liberals. Oh how their little hearts must ache to cuddle up and have dialouge with Iran.
To: Cementjungle
Uhh... judging from the dear president's responses to Mike Wallace during the softball interview I hardly believe that we would see any actual substantial answers to the important questions (anihilation of Israel, reason for unfettered nuclear power in a oil-drenched country, etc).
