Airline-security incidents seen as terrorist feints
Washington Times ^ | Sept. 4, 2006 | Audrey Hudson

The rash of airline-security incidents since the London terror arrests -- which has diverted or delayed more than 20 flights all over the world -- has more to do with flukes, red herrings or terrorist probes than with actual, imminent threats, intelligence observers and security officials say.

"We are constantly being probed by terrorists," Mr. Hagmann said. "We are going to have a limited number of incidents that are just a ploy, a nonevent as a result of misunderstandings or innocuous activity. You can expect that and factor that in. But the extent we are seeing today -- the numbers are well beyond the norm."

At least 23 incidents worldwide since the Aug. 10 arrests of two dozen suspects have led to 11 emergency landings or flight diversions, four of them escorted by military jets, and 16 arrests.

I believe it -- terrorists want to disrupt and test our systems and they do it constantly.

And in the meantime the Dems want to take away the tools, such as NSA surveillance, to be able to discover and foil the plots, before they happen.

Yes. I believe this guy...terrorists are always trying to figure out just how far they can go. Then they'll strike after doing that a number of times.

It's an interesting article.

It also mentions that terrorist sights called on Muslims to distract law enforcement by videotaping landmarks -- so the police pays attention to them and may miss real terrorists.

The website also said:

"The distractions are going well," the site reported. "The Americans are chasing those with video cameras believing them to be terrorists. That permits us to do our preparations undetected."

These people who are picked up and found to be involved should be sentenced to death - even if they were caught before the damage was done. To release them ever is to give them another chance to get it right.

Another reminder that the Dems haven't a frickin clue, since they feel we are being too harsh in our law enforcement.

I would not be surprised if there were a major terrorist attack just before the election, which the Dems will seize upon and say "All this money, all these infringements on our rights, and the Bush Administration is failing the American people. We need a smarter war on terror."

Dems: "We need to capitulate."

Because my Hubby is a diabetic and had insulin, they searchrd his bag..pulled things out etc. BUT they missed his folding knife that he had forgotten was in there. It had also been in his carryon in Jax!! So much for TSA, but then we all know that!

Good thing they didn't find his folding knife, because they would have sold it on eBay.
