No doubt, of course I have heard the same thing said of people who taunt large repriles for kicks

Not doing it to taunt them but more like showing folks that animals aren't necessarily eating machines focused on our anihilation. He showed however, that although these creatures can kill, they aren't terrors and we need to have a healthy fear, not a phobia.

Many times I have used some of his shows to illustrate to my kids that they needn't be terrified of large animals, just remain observant and respectful

Good point however I think using his child in the one episode was over the top, one never knows what could happen, he could have tripped and fell and the kid could have gotten killed or maimed.

I got no problems if he uses himself for such demonstrations but a young child in such a needless situation is just nuts.
