Secondly this was a superb example of an American female warrior capable of outrunning for at least twenty six miles almost any of the chair bound warriors slumped over their keyboards on this thread.Thank you. She's 30, and a major? Sounds like below the zone to me. I've been retired 13 years now, so things might have changed. I pinned on major at the 11 year point from 2ndLt and that was on time.

I am not comfortable with intentionally placing women in harms way. Nowadays, anyplace is harm's way, and women place themselves, they aren't 'placed'.

For God's sake, you people who posted all those smarta.. remarks, and who set yourself up in judgement about one of our military should be ashamed and should think about what motivated this public nastiness to someone who should have been given at the least the benefit of the doubt.This is the first time I've really seen something like this on FR involving a deployed military officer.I'm glad it was the first. I hope beyond hope it's the last, but I've seen it all too often before, Jessica Lynch being only my most vivid memory of it.
