The death & injured toll in Iraq and Afghanistan hurts. But everyone seems to forget that we anticipated "house to house" fighting once we got to Baghdad. I'm not sure what the estimates were for that expectation.

The terrorists delayed the "house to house" and regrouped getting help of course from AlQueda. Don't kid yourself. They are there at the invitation of Saddam. The goal is dominance of the Middle East. Saddam could care less if it is a Muslim oriented philosophy. It doesn't effect him

AFTER we've gone in, toppled Saddam's regime, sacrificed lives of our soldiers, uncovered hundreds of mass graves and torture chambers of Huessein's "government"- After the Iraqi people have set up the start of a democracy, and have voted in 3 elections,(despite being threatened with death), and as the Iraqi military begins to assume control of the country on its own- Also with Osama Bin Laden declaring Iraq to be THE battle ground in his war with us, and with the capture and/or killing of numerous Al Queda operatives there,-NOW-the rats want us to abandon Iraq to chaos and terror- (like we did Viet Nam)and DemocRat Senator Rockefeller wants to reinstate Saddam as its leader? ( snip )

Liberal paradise is no belief in God, no borders, no Pledge of Allegiance, no patriotism, and that constant monitoring of one's own thoughts, and fear of using the "incorrect words" should be the biggest concerns of our citizenry- This could get to a point where no one would be capable of even understanding the concept of defense. A nation divided against itself can not stand. It's the liberals doing the dividing- . I pray that God will show them the error of their ways.

Pray for president Bush- he needs it.

The way to lose this war is to paint all Muslims with the same brush.

Actually, if we said it, meant it, and then acted on it, that would exactly how to win it.

We painted all Japanese with that same brush, and today, all is well.

Why is the bulk of the fighting, and vast majority of the dying, on OUR side of the War being done by Muslim Iraqis, Afghanis and Pakistanis?

LOL! - Aside from inter-tribal warfare with the so called Northern Alliance, they didn't lift a finger until we defeated the Taliban, basically ran them out of Afghanistan, stationed NATO forces, invaded Iraq, destroyed Fallujah, and kept 150,000 heavily armed and supported troops in Iraq.

In Iraq, we trained, armed and support the new Iraqi army, who should now do the bulk of fighting, don't you think?

The better question might be:

why are the islamists attacking fellow muslims?

Perhaps the apologists for common muslim behavior should answer that.

but with centuries of deference to violence, they are having a hard time seizing the day........

sunnis killing shiites means nothing to them - since they are not the same muzzie, they don't count as human beings. Now with Syria and Iran and the Hezzies, a new front will appear........
