The favorite — perhaps the only — TR quote of trolls and scoundrels.

To be fair, I don't think Kimmers said that the President was beyond criticism.

She said she wouldn't vote for anyone who did not support him on Iraq. That seems to be an different issue all together.

Lots of Californians moving in to CO. It will definitely become a solid blue state.

To suggest that there has been an announcement here that there must be no criticism of the President, or an announcement here that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong, is a strawman and also a hot steaming lie.

Any candidate who uses such a cheap shot to gain political advantage (save his sorry A$$) deserves to be defeated. Republican candidates don't have to support the President on everything, but bashing him just to gain a few points in the polls is unconscionable.

You'll don your kneepads for anyone who criticizes the President, no matter how foolish that criticism is.

She said she is giving money to individual candidates rather than the GOP because she wants to make sure no money goes to a candidate she doesn't like. Even if it's over one issue, that sounds fair to me. It has nothing to do with whether or not the President's "beyond criticism."

Yes, but he is withdrawing his support based on a single-issue, which is what we criticized Lieberman haters of doing.

And speaking of quotes, Tonto comes to mind.

To deny that Kimmers said he wouldn't support a candidate that "does not stand by my president..."

That statement is irrelevant, since no one has done that.

What I have done is deny that there has been an announcement:

...that there must be no criticism of the President, or that we are to stand by the President, right or wrong...

That hasn't happened, making the suggestion you made with the TR post both a strawman and a hot steaming lie.

He just lost any chance he did have in this race.

Sadly, Colorado is leaning more for the Rats every day...California migration.

the larger enemy, Iran, is flanked on both side. No accident there either.

Bush is spot on in this strategy ( Stradtigery ) and doctrine...albeit I would personally prosecute the enclaves (like Falujah and Haditha) with a much firmer hand.

Even though it was a plus to get Saddam out of power and that threat out of the way... I think, that this was the objective all along.. to flank Iran.... Iraq in the west, Afghanistan on the east.

Precisely the kind of person we don't need in Congress.

IMO....Regarding the war I really feel that publicly the elected need to stand behind him. When our elected publicly speak against him, it fuels the fire of terrorism. The lives our brave young men and women serving this country are at stake and I would expect public support particularly from his own party.

I in no way believe that this president or any sitting president should ever be above criticism and yes, even the elected have a right to speak out.
I hope this clears up things for all.

I wonder if O'Donnell got clearance from the National Republican Congressional Campaign Committee before launching this attack. He might have - if somebody up there agreed it's the only way to save his sinking ship (although, if somebody thinks that, they're probably wrong). I find it hard to believe that a party regular like O'Donnell (hasn't he been an appointed something or other in the Republican administration of Gov. Owins?) would launch a broadside against the Republican president without consulting some higher-ups first, or at least giving them warning.

Your kind of Republican I see.""

No, because I get the impression that he supported the invasion of Iraq (like Hillary and most of the Democrats did and still do). Like Pope John Paul II, I never supported it.

Unfortunately, the liberal Dem he's running against is the kind of person we EVEN MORE don't need in Congress -- unless you feel you aren't sending enough of your paycheck to the federal government.
