Many alcoholics and drug addicts usually have at least 2 other addictions either sitting down waiting or active on the 'sidelines'. Getting sober is a first step, but in his case, he clearly also has sex addiction problems as well.
Good luck to him and I will pray. If he truly is going to go the road in his recovery, it will take a lot of daily discipline and honesty with himself and others. God bless him and God bless his family as well.
