I thank you Great Spirit for saving this little girl! I thank you for the wonderful woman and her son who were right where you wanted them to be. I thank you God!
Just another little miracle that God performs thru-out the day, day after day...
"The mother of this child needs to be investigated. In Georgia, you have to be 14 before you can be left in charge of another child."
Yes that will solve all the problems in the world.
(epithet redacted) lol

Those babysitters need to be a part of the next "JackAss" movie. Maybe they can taken to the Sears Tower and ....
I honestly think someone should adopt the mother and the brothers along with the child.
Amen!
"Do again. Do again".
It means that the mother wasn't negligent, in the sense that she left the kid alone. She did make arrangements for child care, and in Colorado a 13-yo is judged competent for babysitting.
In hindsight, leaving the baby in the hands of her POS brothers was a really rotten move; but she clearly tried to do the right thing.
I suspect, however, that from now on the juvenile mother of this child will be seeing more than a few representatives of the local Child Welfare agencies.
That is a good idea, and even some 14 yr olds can be 'immature'. I wouldn't leave my little children with 10 & 13 yr old boys either, or girls for that matter.. Here in my area, though, it's quite common. Many 11 & 12 yr olds, mostly girls, routinely babysit for even young babies. Many of them take a 'babysitters' course offered through some local group.
I'm going to engage in a little friendly speculation here...
Guy who caught the baby was on his way to a football game, it looks like from the artcicle.
A footbal fan, who probablly tossses the ol' pigskin around in the back yard now and then...
... and who intuitively knows how to catch... thank GOD.
/wild guess
Bones, it was actually the mother who caught the baby. Her son was racing upstairs to try to get to the baby before she fell.
I have an 11 year old grand daughter who I would trust baby sitting a baby for short periods, on the other hand I have an 18 year old grand daughter I would not trust. It all depends on the maturity of the kid.
It was well-written and touching. It is amazing how well writers can write when they aren't trying to put thier political spin on a story. Too many stories today you have to go to multiple sources because the writer seems to intentionally leave out important details.
Can she hit? If so, the Red Sox need some outfield help for 2007. Sign her up!
I tend to agree.
Freud claimed that men leave the womb and then the breast as babies . . .
And spend all their adult lives trying to crawl back in and hook back up.
You misread the article.
Difficult not to believe in angels after reading this story.
He already did by arranging for her to be there.
