it's the same as when a 40 year old man goes after a 18-25 year old girl. A pervert's a pervert.

LOL. I don't think I'd hang the pervert tag on a 40 year old guy for going out with a 25 year old woman. If that's the case, I'm destined to be a perv in a couple of years. Oh well.

25 is borderline. But if you're 40 looking for a teen-24 yr old...in my eyes...you're a perv. Ditto for women.

The line that stands out to me in that ....was where it talked about "conservative Republicans" who would like to replace Hastert with someone less moderate.

SOOOOOOO..this isn't about anything to do with Foley...just a convenient excuse???

pfffffft

The Democrats are walking a tightrope if they go after Speaker Haesert.

The shrill voices on Err Amerika were calling for his resignation yesterday, too. It's the official dem tactic. A scandal involving any Republican is being spun to be all Republicans. After all, the leadership is responsible for the conduct of it's members in the House and Senate. Therefore, they are all tainted by any scandal. It is disgusting that they are soo upset with Republicans over things they would consider normal and healthy for themselves.

Gee, I can't imagine why Hastert won't resign. I mean, the Washington Times told him to. *yawn*

Nothing personal, but it's none of your business what an adult over the age of 18 does with another adult over the age of 18.

My thoughts exactly. I voiced that to the Times when I canceled my subscription this morning.

Good for Hastert and shame on the GOP turncoats like Farah, Reagan, Bossie and the Washington Times. Unlike those pussies, Hastert know what is at stake by helping to elect a Democrat Congress during wartime. Foley is a sick fag who sent text messages to a 16-year old. If he were a RAT he would never have resigned and we would be vomiting over a press conference with him and his "pastor" right now. But we are not Democrats, and Foley is gone. End of story. Now let's go out and destroy the RATs November 7th.

Exactly! The IMs were unknown to the leadership. The Feds are investigating to find out who had them and held them until after the Republican Primaries before releasing them in order to do the most damage.El Rushbo suspects"The Clinton War-Room"is back in action and behind this and the George Allen smear-tactics!This means Carville/Begala!!

Gosh!

You mean he won't be doing the same as the Democratic Majority leader did when Ted Kennedy abandoned Mary Jo?

Oh, that's right it never happened.

Well he won't be following in Tip O'Neill's footsteps and resigning like Tip did when Gary Studds HAD SEX with an underage page?

Oh, that never happened either did it?

And Studds was only censured and Kennedy did nothing.

And it was Republicans who talked Nixon into resigning. And it was Democrats that had a "Pep Rally" at the White House for Clinton.

......is he asking that Foley's office be searched???

I know that I am a cynical old man who likely disagrees with you about this issue, but when William Jennings Jefferson's office was searched, Hastert seemed to overreact. Is it possible that this very issue (Foley) was in the back of his mind?

Of course not. Foley was the LAST thing on his mind.

The Republican leadership:

Speaker of the House: Dennis Hastert (IL)
Majority Leader: John Boehner (OH)
Majority Whip: Roy Blunt (MO)
Chief Deputy Whip: Eric Cantor (VA)

If Hastert must resign they all must, the leadership should fall together. No chance of coming back to a leadership position, but if their constituents reelect them they can serve as a member.

Now the question remains if the FBI didn't have the IM's and they have the power of subpoena to get all records (paper, computer, wireless, etc). How did they miss them?

Then, who had the IM's? Any Republican? Any Democrat? This is the next head to roll. Should it ever be found that the Dems knew of it and "saved" it for the right moment, just prior to an election ... well I guess that the same as the dead voting for their candidate.

Hope something will happen to these politicians to truly wake them up ... but I'm not holding my breath.
