House Speaker Dennis Hastert, R-Illinois, ignored a call by a conservative Washington newspaper for him to resign as fallout continued from the political scandal involving former Rep. Mark Foley and his explicit instant messages.GOOD! I hope he fights back, BIG TIME, and the blowback to the Dems is MAJOR!

They are liberals - probably threatened a lawsuit based on some perceived discrimination if the lights were turned off. THey are a hoot to listen to, though. Biggest buch of tin foil hat types coupled with delusional socialism is like watching for the wrecks at NASCAR.

Eyes on the prize people. We have to hold the House. No point in decrying leadership if you have nothing to lead.
Win first. Then worry about who leads.

If it makes anyone feel better, a lot of lefties think we only brought up the Foley scandal to distract the "sheeple" from Woodward's book. Score one for the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy!

Still begs the question: 1) Why didn't the FBI get them? Were they withheld? If so by whom? I'm not savvy on IM"s, I thought it was an Internet thing and no real hard copy once read and deleted.
I wonder who has the keys to this House email and IM system. A Public Employee, Master at Arms or House Clerk? A House member and if so what party? Surely not one individual (a Dem or a Repub) sits there alone, it would need to be a committee.
To me, if the FBI didn't have them ... obstruction of a federal investigation against someone.

When Blankley resigns over the pedophile that headed Human resources, then he can call for Hastert's resignation.
I REFUSE to join any one that would have Hastert linked as aiding a pedophile deliberately, by calling for his resignation. Those leading that call have shamed themselves.

LOL. What did Harry Reid know and when did he know it? "Senator Reid, there have been calls for your resignation, will you continue to ignore those voices?? What is your response?" (/sarcasm, yeah, like that would EVER happen!)
