Sean is barely holding back a laugh while looking at his laptop PC and brings out the Drudge "scoop" about the guy being 18.
Ann C. previously had mentioned, in reply to demos' demands that Hastert should have gone into Foley's correspondence with the line we have bandied about here: "You dems won't let us eavesdrop on Al Qaida and now you want us to wiretap a US Congressman...?
At this time Colmes jaw is dropping and the demo chick is starting to stammer.
Ann keeps jabbing sarcastically about how come now democrats are against gay stuuf or some such...Colmes goes back to the "minors" and consent stuff...Sean then brings the demo creep who banged a 17 yearl old page way back when and who only got censured by Congress but went on to reelection and standing ovations...the demo chick could only say "I wasn't a democrat then...if I were I would have called for resignation.
Then Ann brings up Monica Lewdwinsky and Clintoon and now Colmes and the Demo chick are begging for a commercial break.
When they come back from the break it seemed as if the subject was being changed pronto.
I'm sure Fox will save this segment.

I do feel sadness for Jordan and his parents. He's apparently not a very nice chap (some here have said they know him and are "not impressed"), but now he's truly Lewinski-ized.

That's unclear. LEO's commenting on the issue say they don't make arrests on the basis of the Federal anti-solicitation-or-minors statute until the perp actually shows up in hope of actual sex with a minor, which wouldn't apply here since the dinner date was being arranged for after J.E.'s 18th birthday.
Now we have another statement from the speaker spokesman, simply saying this matter has been referred to the Standards Committee and we fully expect the bipartisan panel will do what it needs to investigate. Behind the scenes, some of the leadership aides here are trying to make the case that perhaps Kirk Fordham is upset about the fact that he's no longer here. He was let go today. He -- Kirk Fordham made clear that he was leaving on his own, unclear exactly what happened behind the scenes that led to his departure today.

I am proud to say that between Foleygate, and the rampant smear attacks on George Allen, I got off my ass and *finally* got my driver's license moved to Virginia today, registering to vote up here to the process. So I'll be there on 7 November to put a boot in Jim "Born Idiot" Webb's butt, and do my part. Motivation is a wonderful thing.

Really, it changes nothing. If anything, it's a misrepresentation of one part of the story by ABC. It doesn't make the rest of the facts just disappear.
One of the other FReepers is calling it "laundering scandals" by the RATS. Sounds about accurate.
Now this information needs wide dissemination. FR can help that along. Send concise , accurate messages to people who have a louder blowhorn.

This message was dated April 2003, at approximately 7 p.m., according to the message time stamp at a time when the teen had been 18 for just six weeks. (Some sharp online readers spotted that the boy was technically legal when the exchange took place).
So it the guy was over 18, not an employee, didn't have sex but just came on by Foley in some IM (and apparently hit on in some IM that were not "blocked"(you can block someones from sending you and IM if the start to bother you...I.E. the guy didn't say no to Foley)
Other then a sick creeper dirty old man, Foley committed no crime
Foley wasn't sued and didn't lie about it under oath...
If the guy over 18...Foley just a Gay Bill Clinton with out any of the criminal part, sexual harassment and lie under oath part>
That assuming this started wen the guy was over 18... under 18 is attempted statutory rape... the guy was under the age of consent
