North American Air Defense Command has scrambled AS A PRECAUTION folks. Any major incident into a populated area has to be treated as suspicious until proven otherwise...if you were going to hit something, wouldn't you after the UN building right across the river?

Why can't these people just find out who was flying the damn thing. I want to know the id of the pilot.,/P>

At the very least that will take some time if it is ever known. That is assuming the cause was due to the pilot having an emotional problem.

Surely the dude had a transponder. Its not legal to fly without them in most places. The news race to be first makes it impossible for any of them to be accurate. With two phone calls they could find out who is missing and what was it.

Yep. Even if you're 99% sure that it's an accident, you have to have a contingency for the other 1%.

I'm sitting in the airport and CNN is on NASCAR. I'm thinking CNN airport news has shifted their coverage so passengers won't panic.

Shep: "The UN building is only a few blocks away from there. It would have been easy to hit that building instead, if you were so inclined."

*wink* *wink* LOL!

FWIW, Fox is such a miserable network when it comes to covering breaking stories that I wonder why they even bother.

So Shep can dress up in his butch helmet outfit?
