A U.S. based environmental magazine that both former Vice President Al Gore (http://gristmill.grist.org/print/2006/9/19/11408/1106?show_comments=no ) and PBS newsman Bill Moyers, for his October 11th global warming edition of “Moyers on America” titled “Is God Green?” (http://www.grist.org/news/maindish/2006/05/09/roberts/index.html ) have deemed respectable enough to grant one-on-one interviews to promote their projects, is now advocating Nuremberg-style war crimes trials for skeptics of human caused catastrophic global warming. Grist Magazine’s staff writer David Roberts called for the Nuremberg-style trials for the “bastards” who were members of what he termed the global warming “denial industry.”

Roberts wrote in the online publication on September 19, 2006, "When we've finally gotten serious about global warming, when the impacts are really hitting us and we're in a full worldwide scramble to minimize the damage, we should have war crimes trials for these bastards -- some sort of climate Nuremberg.” http://gristmill.grist.org/print/2006/9/19/11408/1106?show_comments=no

Gore and Moyers have not yet commented on Grist's advocacy of prosecuting skeptics of global warming with a Nuremberg-style war crimes trial. Gore has used the phrase "global warming deniers" to describe scientists and others who don't share his view of the Earth's climate. It remains to be seen what Gore and Moyers will have to say about proposals to make skepticism a crime comparable to Holocaust atrocities.

IIRC, (it's too late to google it now for me, I'm off to bed soon, fighting off a cold I think) they put the scrubbers in because the sulfur dioxide was causing the acid rain. Notice we haven't heard about that for quite some time now.

Problem is, that even if we could do something about it (assuming it's man induced), we could *over correct* and send ourselves into another cooling trend and ice age. Then we'll have the weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth over THAT!

My philosophy is that you can't grow crops in the snow. If I had to choose, I'd take global warming with lower fuel costs and extended growing seasons.

We'll never win. There'll always be something for the left to *panic* over so that they'll have excuses to regulate this, that, and the other thing, to control our lives. That's all it's about; control.

I wouldn't be so suspicious were it not for the fact that EVERY proposed solution to ANY environmental problem ALWAYS involves socialism, electing democrats, and/or un-electing Republicans. Sounds like sound science to me!! I noticed that when clinton was elected president, environmental problems decreased significantly within one day after his election (based upon the immediate DECREASE in the number of "environmental disaster" stories reported in the MSM).

Sarcon. Well then, the first that should go on trial in this Global Warming Jihad, should be those who committed the greatest offenses. By far the greatest offenses against the Global Warming Religion were made by those in the 60's and 70's who were promoting Global Cooling. It was this promotion of Global Cooling that actually enabled all of us to purchase SUV's and burn oil like there was no tomorrow. After all, we did not want Global Cooling. Uh Oh. Wait a minute. The same leftist radicals that were promoting Global Cooling back then are now supporting the Global Warming Jihad. Looks like many of them will be putting themselves on trial. Sarcoff.
