Many of us have served during the Viet Nam Era, Cold War era and have been at the pointy end of the spear.

I thought you said that you backed out at the last minute ?

... So I thought Darwinism was not a religion and now here your telling us that Dawkins is probably the greatest theologian alive today. Make up your minds. ...

His latest book, The God Delusion, is theological, it has nothing to do with evolutionary biology. Dawkins is rather like Newton, both a scientist and a theologian.

The Theory of Evolution, of couse, being a scientific theory, is in no way a religion.

That was 70sh or early 71.
I was not 18 years old till 1972 so I might not have been able to fool them in any event.

I did enter the 2-1 Cav in in 1975.
Thanks for helping me clear that up for you.

You two are simply amazing. I can tell by the poster's comment which you, RA, cherry picked, that he is referring to an after life, yet you two elected to make it about military service and honorable pursuits in this life.

We are done talking.

OK.

I'll simply assume that means you didn't find non creation in the Catholic Cathechism.

Adios Don Quixote!

LOL! Still losing sleep over lil' ol' me RA?

I never knew that any criticism directed toward you or the other johnny-one-note Darwinists was actually an affront to the entire United States military!

I do not support human cloning, and I most certainly do not support government funding for human cloning.

Then we are in total agreement on those issues.

But the amendment is more odious than that. It writes into the constitution a section that forbids the legislature from having any control over the 6 billion Misssourian dollars going to fund human cloning. That section of the amendment is breathtaking in its reach, unAmerican and downright fascist.

But the worst part is the section of the science community and liberals who have banded together to try to push this through the process as a constitutional amendment by half truths, dissembling and outright lies.

And the science community wonders why there is friction between science and religion? Oyvey.

Wat would you define as "what is" in biology?

Can't be names of things, those're based on evolutionary relationships these days. So, taxonomy's out.

Can't be comparative anatomy, that's based on presumed evolutionary relationships.

Straight anatomy, maybe physiology. So once we get past the toe bone is connected to the foot bone, dicussion becomes kind of limited.

That would appear to put JPII in the "theistic evolution" camp.

I've made it clear that the Catholic faith has little problem with evolution. Evolution happens.

Pope John Paul II had major problems with materialist reductionsists like Dawkins, Pinker and Dennett and so so I.

The Theory of Evolution, of couse, being a scientific theory, is in no way a religion.

And Dawkins is in no way a theologian, rather he is an anti religious bigot. His anti religion is self evident, his bigotry comes into play because he paints with a very wide brush, hence anti-religious bigot.

"Fundie" is a universal slur against fundamentalists.

It is a leftist's last resort in argument... (I love it when they throw it at me, because I am an atheist.)

Your only purpose here is to bash the Christians and the Jews, many of whom are my friends. The Christians are really more of a politically correct proxy for your hatred of Jews. (I have more Jewish friends than Christian friends.)
