The Corner is reporting that John Kerry will hold a news conference at 2PM to discuss his recent comment.
Did it. I also expressed the fact that I think is being missed, which is, many join the military and put their lives on the line so that they can obtain a free education through the GI Bill. I guess one like John Kerry could never undertand that concept.
I got behind because my husband came home early with some paperwork I had to sign. I have missed about an hour on the thread and am trying to catch up. Make sure you turn on Fox as they will be carrying the President's comments LIVE.

I don't want the President to respond in a sportshirt at a campaign stump. Or to be good-natured and forgiving. I want him determined, angry, with the full force of his Office behind him. If he's not at the White House, I want him in a coat and tie in front of Air Force One.
We've taken enough from these vicious traitors.

I'm listening to this piece of crap now and it is pathetic! He knows perfectly well that he was insulting the troops and I'm getting a little tired of listening to these cut-and-run cowards put down anyone who didn't "wear the uniform" and claiming they have no right to speak against them. This from the same person who told us that Bill Clinton's draft dodging didn't matter and shouldn't be held against him. But those who would dare criticize him and haven't worn the uniform, now it's an issue. Hypocrite!
This is America, Mr. Kerry and all of us have free speech rights and if Rush Limbaugh or anyone who "hasn't worn the uniform" wants to take you to task for insulting the members of the Armed Forces, then they can, they will and they have the Constitution of this nation backing them up while they do it!
His phony, "botched joke" excuse is lame and I, a veteran who DID WEAR THE UNIFORM, am not buying it!! The Swift Boat Vets wore the uniform but he and his brain-dead supporters maligned their service! All depends if that uniform service is kissing the backside of the DemocRATS!
He just came out just as arrogant and condescending as ever. Guess we all shouldn't be at all surprised.
