FWIW, we live in NYS and get down to PA a few times a year. We've been down in the last few weeks, and from what
we've seen, FWIW, I wouldn't put a lot of stock in those poll numbers :)
Just a hunch :)

""From what I can gather, Kerry botched a joke. That's what he said, and I take him at his word. He served in combat. Last time I checked, the president and the vice president did not."
Neither did Bill Clinton. What does that have to do with anuthing?

Kerry even looked down at his notes . . .You mean the notes that morphed to omit a word or two? The notes of "nuance?"
To: stockstrader
I really doubt that "I did not have sexual relations with that woman!" rolls his eyes at any bold-faced lie! He is, afterall, the master of deceit!

Hello,
Well, she was waiting for the results of the overnight polling before she could come to a firm decision on the matter....
(...snicker....)
Glad to be here, MOgirl

Then why was Kerry's appearance with Casey scheduled for today cancelled?!!
Either Casey is tap-dancing or Kerry just simply cut and run after getting too much heat!

Casey made a bad move here.
Unlike Ford and Tester.
If we exploit this correctly in each state, they get hurt no matter which choice they make.
Podhoretz is over-analyzing. This helps no RAT in any race.

I lived in Harrisburg 87-89. I was a DJ on Wink 104. It's hard to believe that so many libs have gotten such a foot hold on PA. It was not like this when I was there. Having lived here since the mid-seventies, I don't think it is a lib vs. conservative issue. Most people here are social conservatives, but far too many love to be taken care of by the government. The political machine (Rendell/Specter/etc) buys votes from the Unions, the few businesses that are left (protectionism), and the farmers (tax breaks/subsidies)which combined with the urban constituent keep them in power.

"is it too late to get an absentee ballot for PA?" Yep, yesterday was the deadline. I voted at my courthouse.

So, how do things appear to be going there in Gettysburg for Senator Santorum?

"I'm actually a transplanted Virginian whose job brought me north of the Potomac. I couldn't stand to live in the People's Republic of Maryland though, and so I moved to Gettysburg in (still) rural Adams County." You're in my neck of the woods. Born and raised in Hanover. Now living in the York area, but still get up to Gettysburg and Fairfield to hunt and go to the Apple Harvest Festival.
