Or we could just kill doctors who want us to kill our kids.

Not to mention that old-fashioned, outdated thing which forbade abortion: the Hippocratic Oath.

Amazing story. God has a plan for every life, and each human being has unique talents and contributions to give to the world. Just because some doctor cannot perceive that in a "disabled" infant, does not mean it isn't so.

Sounds like the original argument in favor of this is monetary based.
I Timothy 6:9&10 KJV
But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
1 Timothy 6:17-21 KJV
Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate;
Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:
Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be with thee. Amen.

In a saner society, these people would be committed to the psychiatric ward.

Michael Card has a song with some haunting lyrics that come to mind:
Every generation's heard it
a voice that's straight from Hell --
sacrifice your children
and for you it will be well.

Here are the lyrics.

The Spirit of the Age (by Michael Card)
I thought that I heard crying coming through my door.
Was it Rachel weeping for her sons who were no more?
Could it have been the babies crying for themselves,
Never understanding why they died for someone else?
The voices head of weeping and of wailing,
History speaks of it on every page.
Of innocent and helpless little babies,
Offerings to the spirit of the age.
No way of understanding this sad and painful sign.
Whenever Satan rears his head there comes a tragic time.
If he could crush the cradle, then that would stop the cross.
He knew that once the Light was born his every hope was lost!
Now every age had heard it, the voice that speaks from hell.
"Sacrifice your children and for you it will be well."
The subtle serpent's lying, his dark and ruthless rage.
Behold it is revealed to be the spirit of the age!
Soon all the ones who seemed to die for nothing
Will stand beside the Ancient of Days,
With joy we'll see that Infant from a manger
Come and crush the spirit of the age
