Disputes in Indy, I think they said the 9th, our lawyers already have the FBI called in as to something about absentee ballots.

According to Drudge both of those seats look to be firmly in GOP hands.

I am still loopy then. And will remain so until all votes are counted.

Johnson in CT-5 loses by a big margin. I predicted her a loser, but if she tanks that big, how can Shays and Simmons survive? Ya Shays is ahead, but from just two heavily GOP towns, for Shays, including Greenwich. John, would you mind looking at the towns in CT-2 and tell me what you think?

I am close to predicting that Allen will win, after more review (the Dems have shot their wad in the DC area), and Kristol comes close to agreeing with me. The GOP will probably hold the Senate!

Wondering if the exit polls were way off, are the calls still using their concept of "key precincts"? Or are they looking for data incoming from far and wide?

Anyway. It looks like a long night, lots of close races. That last surge in the Republicans direction gave them a fighting chance in a lot of races they had been trailing, but a fighting chance is not the same as victory. We're going to have to wait up late and see; it's possible that the GOP ends up coming just short.

FL-13, KY-4, VA-2 - the GOP is getting some important holds; the "Blue Tidal Wave" is not likely to occur. But the Democrats may be getting on the other end of that 10 to 20 range I was looking at. Maybe more, we will see.

But some bad news - Nancy Johnson looks like she's going down in CT. Other CT races look real close.

But now I'm hearing from sources different vibe on Foley's seat, now it's looking better for the GOP.

All three Democrats are leading in Nebraska. That very well might not last, and probably won't, but it's amazing to see anyhow. Note OH-03 BTW.

Because the Iraq war is a mess. That's basically it.

But its really not. Thats just the media BS. Everybody should talk to the troops and their commanders. They tell a different story.

If it's any consolation, if the Dems take the house, the Senate should hold by 1 or 2,. The coming two years will still be full of even more gridlock and the Dems ridiculous obstructionist tactics, the general public will get sick of it in short order.

Higher taxes will also play a big part in the near future, illegals, etc....

To put it simple, this ain't no bed of roses for the Dems, like they think.......and it may play into our favor for '08

Well..and a win FROM our troops. Aren't I correct in thinking that the troops votes have not yet been counted? And you know that the liberal media would say all the soldiers would vote Dem.

Indiana 9 is the one to watch. Bush campaigned strongly down there for Sodrel. Fox called it for Dem. Baron Hill, but then added that there's a legal challenge down there (something about recently discovered absentee ballots)...and the FBI has been called in. There's less than 2000 votes separating these guys.

They are doing a wonderful job and I'd think people would punish all the cut-n-runners.... what is almost funny is the dems are voting in a majority that actually wants to bring back the military draft (Rangle).
