Dick Morris has been predicting to NewsMax readers that the GOP would hold the Senate and lose the House.

Based on latest results and exit polls, Morris tells NewsMax:

The Republicans will lose the House with a 5 to 10 seat Democratic majority.

The Republicans keep the Senate with at least 50 votes

Allen wins in Virginia.

Too early to tell on Missouri.

Stay tuned.....

Corker and Talent don't have large enough leads to overcome hijinks in Memphis, Nashville, St Louis, Kansas City...

Allen is our last hope.

What??? If that's the case then we've lost since several hours ago... No, I don't believe Corker will lose.

John Kerry just came out from hiding claiming that Americans have voted against right-wing ideas and a failed war policy. He's talking like they have a MANDATE!

And there you have the difference between the Rat Party and the RepublicRAT Party. When the rats have anything close to a majority they claim "MANDATE!". (Recall Klintoon's '92 victory with 43% of the vote where he claimed a mandate.) But when the pubbies gain a true majority they "reach out" to the other side. They have blown their brief opportunity by giving us a paltry and now VERY temporary tax cut. NO social(ist) (in)security reform. NO tax reform. NO real immigration reform. Instead we get a half-assed border fence, and free drugs for greedy geezers...who still whine they they have to pay to much for their anti-depressants. Worst of all, they will now use this loss as an excuse to go FARTHER to the left.

We will be fighting Islamofascism for a very long time. Thank God Bush woke up - even if it took the horror of 9/11 to make him do so. His visionary leadership will be recognized by history, even as it is disdained by his contemporaries.

Foley - Cunningham - Ney - Abramoff - DeLay... corruption done in the Pubs, just like it done in the Dems in '94.

Kyl in Arizona is too close to call right now - if we lose this one I will be really bumed. Kyl is one of the few true conservatives.

Don't worry. Give the MSM two days MAX, and the whole world will believe the Demonrats won by a landslide and have a "mandate from the people".

I thought Dick said that the GOP was on a major surge?
That was on NM yesterday. Where's the surge?

That's not based on anything other than my own pessimism. I just have a hard time imagining the Dem machines NOT turning enough votes to put their guys over the top, especially when the "Democrat Tsunami" gives them cover.

If you look at the pick-ups the democrats have made in the house.
Most ARE conservative like Heath Shular.

The democrats may be in charge but the house as a whole will be more conservative as a whole.

I predict Pelosi will have a short shelf-life.

They can put the investigation in one package: Bush-Cheney.

You are wrong. The senate does have a role in impeachment.

Remember Trent Lott when he told the GOP House to not "Dump This garbage on us".

BTY, LOTT said he wants his leadership position back.

I don't think so. They still will vote on party line, and the issues that will discussed are picked by Liberals.

Morris appears to be full of it anyway. Webb has made up serious ground on Allen. Down by only 12K with 3% of precincts outstanding per FoxNews.com

Complaining seems to have worked pretty well for them. Republicans would be smart to learn a lesson.
