I have said for a while that a dem House with over 230 seats is a powerful mandate to get us out of Iraq and quickly, and that winning the House back, even in a completely fair atmosphere, wouldn't happen for quite a while.

The 'lets teach them a lesson now and win big in 2008' petulant minority is living in fantasyland. We can turn around a Dem House with a 5 or 10 seat advantage. It appears they have over a 30 seat advantage.

We won't be able to turn that around barring some remarkable outside influence(s).

"The Always Angry types just turned DC over to the Amnesty NOW crowd and fired the ONLY people fighting FOR their point of view on Immigration"

you are the eternal believer (or willful propagandist), as far as i can tell. Your party has had congress since 1994, and the WH since 2000. There is no credible excuse for the current status of affairs on immigration, despite your allegation that said GOP people are fighting for "for" theirpoint of view. I feel like I am trying to buy a used car from a car dealer chain reading this.

Anyone not involved in disseminating propaganda understands this.

I know, but part of my point was that you can't count on them happening.

of course they are expensive. talk to me about how to pay for them, and about GOP non-defense discretionary spending increases. I sure don't see the guns 'n' butter economy being told to tighten its (debt-financed) belt, so where is the problem?

Not sure what 'forgetting' has to do with budget issues in what is pretty much perpetual war, at least for the next decade+ of my life.

When NY is a smoldering wasteland MAYBE those asses will wake up. I don't think anything less will have any impact (losing 3000 didn't "hurt" them any).

Times like this, I have a real hard time understanding the "American electorate". How any jackass could believe, now, that a dim Dem vote would be "good for the country" is beyond my comprehension!!

The way I see it a "wishy washy bill of goods" is better than what Nancy Pelosi has to offer. If the perpetual naysayers don't "get a clue", you're right, we will be looking at "the Beast" in 'O8.

I have to agree. There are too many people who have totally lost sight of the fact that all democracies/republics are founded on COMPROMISE. In other words, you never get EVERYTHING you want. Usually you have to settle for the BEST you can get. For me, getting conservative judges is worth a whole lot.

Ok I just got up. The House was lost by what? Did I see right? Was it 11 seats?

Exposed: Pelosi's Socialist Ties

Pelosi leader of 'Progressive Caucus'

Click here or on the pic to hear
the Socialist Pelosi Pig squeal !

From those links, these excerpts ...

"DSA/USA, the 'Democratic Socialists of America' are the U.S. arm of the Socialist International. They share the symbol of the fist holding the rose, and they share the tasks to be accomplished — in our case, an altogether different America ...

"Some time ago — the date is missing from the descriptions — 58 members of the U.S. House of Representatives formed a subdivision of the Democratic Socialists of America and called it the Progressive Caucus. Their statement of purpose, as well as their membership list, formed an integral part of the dsausa Web site (www.dsausa.org ). The membership list appeared on the screen with the continuous background of the fist holding the rose, should anyone have missed the connection with the Socialist International."

Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., the likely [she is now] new minority leader in the House of Representatives, serves on the executive committee of the socialist-leaning Progressive Caucus, a bloc of about 60 votes or nearly 30 percent of the minority vote in the lower chamber.

The Democratic Socialists of America's chief organizing goal is to work within the Democratic Party and remove the stigma attached to "socialism" in the eyes of most Americans.

"Stress our Democratic Party strategy and electoral work," explains an organizing document of the DSA. "The Democratic Party is something the public understands, and association with it takes the edge off. Stressing our Democratic Party work will establish some distance from the radical subculture and help integrate you to the milieu of the young liberals."

Your analysis is dead on. If Me and My Family could move, I would move to: Alabama or South Carolina, at least there - My values and My Families values would be represented there. We have commited a political hara-kiri, Americans are a glutton for punishment are they not? They the others have run basically as others, as wolves in sheeps clothing. Americans sadly and the way we are governed are just not built for a good fight, we give up too easily nor do we have the stomach for it. When you approach things, whether it is fighting our enemies or evaporating child predators-with an american criminal liberties attitude, we are FINISHED!!!!!!! God Bless President Bush, Senator Santorum and His Supporters for putting up a good fight against the american criminal liberties lobby. It was a very long night, I am throughly disgusted, finished with politics./Totally Bummed-Seoul62...........

I wonder what Rush's demeanor will be like tomorrow; he was so optimistic about this election.

Same as with previous losses.

This is what happens when you try to fight a politically correct war to appease the media. American's do not support sacrificing their fighting sons and daughters to the PC gods. Time to start actually killing people in Iraq.
