Of course you're right about inside the Pentagon politics. But I was speaking of Democrat vs Republican politics.
Just reading these reports, and listening to the terrorists today, and then your post and response, brings tears to my eyes and anger in my soul. Our military men and women sacrificed, and continue to sacrifice, their very lives while at home politics as usual took over. Every Republican who has said for years how they support our troop and the WOT, but then either didn't vote, or voted for a Democrat, can kiss this military mom's ass!
It will.
I believe in about June or July we we begin reaping the seeds that were sown on November 7.
I hope you are wrong but I fear you are correct. The new Dim majority will try to make it seem like they are nice until the public is lulled to sleep again. Then all their underhanded crap will begin. Just as soon as they can figure out how to make it look like Pres. Bush and the GOP are to blame.
Yes, I'm sure you have deep pockets and beat my $10,000 plus contributions easily.
If you really did give $10,000 to Republicans and conservatives all I can say is: that is great.
It'll be great! Just like in clintoon's regime, we'll eventually have a "surplus" again!
Only this time, it will be apparent to everyone that the "surplus" came from -- clintoon stripping down the military!
Brilliant!
The news that Donald Rumsfeld had resigned was a huge blow to our military. But on the bright side, he has trained enough people around him that his mission will continue on to a certain extent. Our son returned from Iraq this afternoon. We have a picture of him and Donald Rumsfeld together. It is one our most prized possessions. I always felt my son was safe with him in charge. My stance is that the Donald rocks and always will!!! Gates has a huge job ahead of him to fill those shoes.
Well, it's been spread over 7 or so years, starting in 1999, supporting George W.'s exploratory committee. It's been about 50-50 on wins and losses since then.
I've sent contributions to Bret Schundler in New Jersey, a fellow that ran against Byrd a few years ago in West Virginia, and Katherine Harris for Congress and Senator. And to Forrester in New Jersey. Also, the lady who ran against Louisiana's Senator and Alan Keyes in Illinois and recenty Irey vs. Murtha. And Rogan, McClintok in CA. Those are my losers.
Then I supported Thune, Talent, Allard, Cornyn, Martinez in Florida, Lindsay Graham, some fellow in Georgia, Elizabeth Dole, Arnold his first race, some local and state offices, and Dubya. Those are my winners. I also got a commitment from a "moderate" Senator to vote for the TAX CUT in 2001, by sending a "little" contribution to the reelect fund.
And the RNC, and various Congressional and Senate and Presidential committees. And NRA voting drives.
Also I made up flyers for George for 2000 CA primary and walked 4 precincts.
It's probably higher than I estimated...especially if you count FR contributions and care packages to the troops.
Time for bed...lots to do tomorrow.
We've been down before, and it may take a while to find as good a standard bearer as Dubya has been so we can surge on top again. George W. Bush's and Ronald Reagans don't come along every election year. A lot of people here don't appreciated the quality of the man who led us to victory 3 elections in a row. He won't be easy to replace.
Again. Thanks for everything you've done. I wish there were more Americans like you.
Thanks, Zack, that's exactly what I was looking for.
