Yes. He is from Detroit. That's why they wrote in that aspect of Magnum's character.

Your screen name has libertarian leanings.

I think the war on drugs is a stupid waste of money.

I think the Republicans in congress stabbed conservatives in the back with their out of control spending.

I do not vote the party ticket.
I vote the candidate.

Sometimes that vote goes to an R...sometimes to a L....if Zell Miller were running, I would vote D.

Like Ronald Reagan was a "Hollywood flake?" Like Charleton Heston was a "Hollywood flake?"

No, if anyone's a flake, it would be he or she who would dismiss others as flakes with no explanation or backup as to WHY...

The only thing wrong with libertarians is that they vote libertarian which is a wasted vote.

That's okay, we expect ignorance from our opponents

You think Libertarian votes are wasted? Well, it used to be the case that Republican votes were wasted, back when the party was just starting. Now days, Republicans can learn from their loses, and change their positions to gainfrom support a majority or they can continue as a minority party. Pick one. The RATs would be very happy for the big government, DemocRAT light Repubs to stay out of power. Personally, I would like to give the party of slavery and FDR (but I repeat myself) a swift kick into the ashcan of history. The RAT party deserves it.

"I think the Republicans in congress stabbed conservatives in the back with their out of control spending."

It's funny how the same lie is repeated over and over. The LIEbertarians may lap that up, but it's still a lie. Coincidence that the criticism comes from LIEberal states? I think not.

I'll wager you never heard of the COBURN AMENDMENT that was signed by the President.

Elected Libertarians are few and far between, that is true. It is also true, that unless the Republican party gets right on the issues it will continue to lose again and again. Who is the bigger loser - the party which has a very limited presence, or the party which loses both the House and the Senate? It seems to me that the higher the height of the fall, the harder the bounce.

Federal spending under Bush is up in real terms, as a percentage of GDP and in total amount - Coburn Amendment or not. http://www.whitehouse.gov/omb/budget/fy2007/pdf/spec.pdf

His beliefs as they are spelled out here are fine by me, I don't care what he calls himself. And he hasn't asked any cops if they were Jooos, has he?

I've always been a Tom Selleck fan. I'm also a libertarian. I haven't seen anything in this article to alter either position.

You think Libertarian votes are wasted?

In that they never (very rarely) elect a candidate, yes, I do think they are wasted.

In that they possibly send a message, no, but unfortunately, nobody's listening.

All that is different between social conservatives and the liberals is the set of behaviors they insist on controlling.

You're right on the money. I've sometimes been amazed at the support for Big Brother that we see on this site.
