I have some libertarian leanings too and think many of the party's positions are well inside the conservative movement. Please think twice about slandering libertarians--I'll take them over RINOs anytime.

Keep slandering and calling people names, and you'll certainly pick up a lot of support for your views.
I find my views pretty much in line with those of Dr. Walter Williams, just maybe not so "hard core." He considers himself a "Jeffersonian Liberal." Maybe that's me too. But I'll continue to go by the lable "small 'l' libertarian," if for no other reason than it gets people like you to foam at the mouth with hatred. And show what a damned fool you are.
Oh, BTW... I voted for Talent in the MO senatorial race, and against Amendment 2 for embryonic stem cell research protection. Alienate me, and you've lost yet another vote.

Everyone seems to be forgetting that there is a big difference between those who tend libertarian, and the Libertarians. The former are often socially conservative, but feel that moral and social matters are in the realm of individual action, not that of the State.
Remember the words of P.J. O'Rourke: Giving power and money to government is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys.
Tuesday was a result of just that in action.. .
Now, the "party" Libertarians, are another story. But I really don't think we have a lot of them here as Freepers. . .
A libertarian is the kind of conservative who would never consider spending $50 million in federal funds to inveigh against adults having sex. Was this perhaps the message voters were sending last week?
