You know what, I'm getting more than a little tired of things that look like turds and then having someone have to explain to me why it's really a bar of solid gold if we polish it a bit.

Harriet Miers comes to mind. It would be fun archiving all the pro-Harriet spin on FR before she got canned. Talk about barf inducing.

By the way, Miss Miers' friend, Supreme Court Justice Nathan Hecht, was easily reelected on Nov. 7. He had no Democrat opposition, only a challenge from the Libertarian Party. He has been on the court since 1988. I haven't heard a peep out of Harriet in some time.
