Both. It was a real rout in both categories.

I love GWB. But he completely failed to convince the American public, including many in the GOP, that the deaths of our young men and women in Iraq was having any real affect in resolving that conflict.

As long as the bulk of the violence in Iraq continues to be this Shite vs Sunni, I dont think the bulk of the American publici will get behind it.

I mean, which side are we supposed to root for?

It is too complicated for the American public to comprehend, and simply saying "We must win" did not resonate with the American public at large.
