According to Bruno, this kind of thing happens all the time, where editors alter the captions presented with photographs to suit their own agenda.

Newspaper people train doing this. I headed a Junior Republican organization in Glendale California during the 1960's. I had my picture in the paper several times. I was usually misquoted. Sometimes the quote would be made up out of whole cloth.
Captions were made up on a picture, as well. A picture was taken as we headed out to knock on doors for voter registration. The caption stated we were circulating a pro-war petition.
I decided early that newspapers aren't a very reliable source for news.

It's very common, and so are misleading headlines.
News stories by the wire reporters are also often written to twist the facts.

The amazing thing is that picture show a rocket launcher there, thus making it a legitamate target, but the MSM covered that up.
