Tough anti-illegal immigration ad paid for by the NRCC, and Hayworth still lost
I already told you, Dane... the dems hung Jack Abramhoff and that scandal around his neck in a nice neat bowtie.. also that he arranged for his wife to get a $100,000 lobby bonus and then there was the constant I'm going to die because JD voted against stem cells ad that Mo. Udalls granddaughter ran against him... Two years ago there was nary an ad against JD, this time was different, very different because he had a very popular (in Tempe) candidate running against him and he had baggage he didn't have two years ago... also the State of Arizona is growing by leaps and bounds, libs moving here from California -- East Coast, MidWest all bringing their liberal voting patterns with them, and yes, ASU did figure into the equation this time.. and no, illegal immigration did not... as much as you wish to make it so, it did not.
Yep!
Ahhh, but were they REPUBLICANS???
OK genius, how do you square your above words with the fact that nancy pelosi is going to be the next Speaker.
So? I voted for that amendment. But I disagreed with the closed minded stance of enforcement only espoused by J.D. He was much more strident than Kyl on the subject. I held my nose and voted for him here in AZ 5.
Bush's comprehensive plan did not pass, but the "Enforcement Only" bill did: Result? Republicans lost. How can anyone not see the pattern here?
It's hard to overcome the illegal vote and the Atzlan vote in that area....therein is the issue of the invasion you are in denial of...
You favor amnesty for ALL criminals? (equal protection clause), whereby if you break selective laws, you can walk free and even have rights that U.S. citizens are denied?
We've had some redistricting issues here in the last few years and they wanted to put us in with Flagstaff.. locals screamed bloody murder about that and it was resinded. Thank God we still have GOP in charge in Phoenix in State Senate and House... but that slipped some this year, too....I feel like putting up a sign at the borders, unless you vote conservative turn around.
You have a very unhealthy obsession about JD Hayworth.
What was the position of Hayworth's opponent on immigration?
Can anyone seriously tell me that they trust the Federal Govt enough to round up and deport some 15+ million illegals that live inside the US today?
Not gonna happen, we need a serious realistic debate on this.
When the polling isn't clear, (I've read both sides polling data) then let's turn to principles.
Ronald Reagan gave a amnesty, he failed to secure the border, most people feel that was a ongoing mistake.
Really? I ain't the one who rode the Tancredo train to loserdom.
Your posting is getting to the point of spamming. Rather than trashing other conservatives, how about doing something constructive such as supporting your choice for minority leader?
Hayworth concedes.

This doesn't make me happy, but come on, you were SOOOOOO wishful thinking on that one.
Hey Dane, the anti-illegal propositions passed with 80% of the vote!
And J.D. Hayworth who won 60% of the vote in 02 and 04, lost.
Sorry Dane, buy you seem to be backing losers. You can't even tell when you're wrong.
Reality bites dude.
Not sorry at all that your hero, Travis's rhetoric was thourougly rejected.
Well according to your words, J.D. Hayworth backed two losers, Tancredo and Abrahmhoff.
Yes,but Az State has always been in his district and full of those same college idealists who vote the liberal line.
Hayworth's loss can't be blamed only on them.Seems that numbers posted here earlier indicate GOP turnout was less than usual.
I know you don't like looking at reality Dane, but that's a fact. You can try to tie Hayworths loss to Trancredo if you like, but the simple fact is, his opponent lied and because the DNC poured millions into the race, people believe it.
