>> In 1990, at the age of 26, Terri suffered a mysterious cardio-respiratory arrest

And therein is the key to this whole story. How did a healthy young woman, almost surely asleep, end up face down on a hallway floor, in cardiac arrest and near death, shortly after her husband came home late on a Saturday night? Why did her blood tests show lactic acidosis (caused by extreme exertion in the absence of oxygen)? Why did the only witness, Michael, lie to police about everything being fine between them when he and Terri had had a terrible row that very day?

These questions will be answered, perhaps sooner than later. Many people are keeping dirty little secrets. How long before one of them breaks?

Does anyone know if Terri was pain responsive before the feeding tubes were removed?

Terri Schindler Schiavo died of marked dehydration following more than 13 days without nutrition or hydration under the order of Circuit Court Judge, George W. Greer That sentence rings so ominous.. Terri was never sentenced to death because she was a convicted criminal that committed some heinous crime, she was sentenced to death because she was ill based on her husband's desire to have her put to death, against her own famlie's wishes. But the husband, who decided not to be a husband, once his wife became so ill..just when she needed him, said she wouldn't want to live if she were ever that sick. Even if true, as far as I know, we don't grant death to those who wish to live no longer. May she rest in God's eternal peace.

In remembrance of Terri's birthday bttt.

Is this going to be Dec. Dailies or special thread only? I have news about Attorney Mark Adams. He has a hearing tomorrow about his situation w/Judge Crockett Farnell and Battaglia Law Firm (cristonists).

ATTORNEY MARK ADAMS: Hearing scheduled for 12/5/2006 at 09:30 AM at Tampa, FL - Courtroom 8A, Sam M. Gibbons Courthouse, 801 N. Florida Avenue.

(after action report has been requested).

Back to the thread. Monsignor Malanowski is a great man.

Finally, my mom is doing better! Thanks for all your prayers.

America is still that country that treats some people as less than actually human.

Organ donation: Lack of awareness causing shortfall

-snip-

"We get approximately 3,000 pledges every year for our eye bank. Out of that, 10 per cent is voluntary. The rest 90 per cent comes after our counsellors motivate patients and their relatives about the importance of donating their eyes."

-snip-

"While kidneys can be transplanted from a living donor, all the other organs must be recovered only from cadavers," said BK Das, spokesperson of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. "By cadaver, we mean a person who is brain dead but all his organs are functioning because he is on life support."

But at this point, doctors are faced with unwilling relatives who refuse to let go of the patient, whose body is still warm and who, to a layman, seems to be sleeping.

>> Cuban President Fidel Castro is very ill and close to death, Director of National Intelligence John D. Negroponte said yesterday. [News story.]

Well, now, to quote the first one hundred bioethicists in the phone book, "This is a tragedy for his family and all concerned. But it is time for the patient to pass with dignity. We have to pull the plug now. Besides, we need the bed."

This is interesting! Type II diabetes is surely one of the great drains on Medicare. This one cure alone could free up more healthcare funds than all the mercy killings that the bioethickers dream of.

Recent Lifenews update on Haleigh Poutre:

Haleigh Poutre's Family Wants State Officials Punished for Ignoring Abuse

Interesting reading, especially about how conflicted, incompetent and corrupt child protection agencies are. In this case the DSS did not protect Haleigh despite numerous complaints of abuse. Then when it did step in, it asked the court to kill the already battered child!

Note this, too:

>> Doctors declared Haleigh "brain dead" and in a permanent vegetative state but now she can talk and interact with people.

That's probably why the right-to-die gang is in such a hurry to knock off "brain dead" patients. Otherwise they might recover!

Thank you for your remembrance of Terri. I heard today her father had a stroke. This family has certainly had their share of tragedy.

I wanted to ask Terri's angels if they would consider being active in preventing our border agents from being railroaded by our government on the altar of political correctness.

The story is here:

Why Were My Hopes So Hidden?

Why were my hopes so hidden?
They seemed a quite normal kind.
I just wanted children and family,
And watching our lives unwind.

Something has happened to me,
What it was I just cannot say,
How it happened or who did what,
That hurt me on that day.

At first, it was acceptable,
I felt love, and they gave me care,
In time, I guess I realized,
I wasn’t going anywhere.

And then, the days grew longer,
My visitor list grew short,
My diary held blank pages,
And that is my report.

It’s also condemnation,
For how my life has drained,
Out through the vacant window,
Of my vista now constrained.

I could have gone to parties,
With many a birthday chance,
I would have smiled at a party,
Even though I couldn’t dance.

So why were my hopes so painful,
To those who had starred in my dreams?
I’ve shrunken to life in a bird-cage,
Even that’s not enough for some schemes.

They debate about life that’s worth living,
But they don’t put their own lives in hock.
I’m inclined to believe that a just review,
Would have placed most of them into shock.

For the scales of true justice will measure,
The worth of those judging me,
And the hopes that I had that I treasure,
Far outshine any others I see.

In California, the authorities believe that lethal injection for capital punishment is cruel and unusual so they are re-thinking how they do away with murderers. I am going to suggest that they starve and dehydrate them to death. Michael Schiavo and his attorneys - and the court system - apparently think it's the way to go - very "peaceful". Could save the state a lot of money, too.

N.C. Bar Files Charges Against Duke D.A.

Every witch doctor in the country lectured us that it was wrong, wrong, wrong to intervene in the judicial process to seek a fair trial for Terri Schiavo. Stand by for the same witch doctors to shout in unison that it is OUR NATIONAL PATRIOTIC DUTY to intervene in the judicial process to seek a fair trial for the defendants at Duke.
