Breathtaking thread Billie!

Lovely pix, outstanding table & wonderful pix from your home.

I prolly wont do any decorating until I return from DC this weekend. Right now there are just two strings of twinkly lights in my mom's room, which is the family room.

Here is my IDEA - an original as afar as I know. I have been doing this for about 30 years,starting back to my days in NC

I normally have this tree on my bedroom dresser & have twinkly lights on the mirror above it & it sets it off nicely. These little trees are too small for lights (IMHO) as they dry out so easily. One year I dried a small spotlight, but never did find it again in the massive boxes,decor I have

Hi there! thanks. that is NOT my tree actually (just from on line)..will see how time goes next week... The last couple I had were VERY big & I have them away last year for friends (men primarily) who might want a tree to decorate. I have so many indoor tropicals & space with light is at a premium.

Want to get some of the new poinsettas..amazing the types available, colors, etc.

The Norfolk pine IS an outdoor plant. We have one on our front porch, decorated. Every year it grows a little taller. They can become HUGE trees. I don't know what I'll do when it grows up.

Don't un-plug the filter!

I have no idea what yer talkin' about (filters and tile) but it sure is purty.

Well, they're little extras in graphic programs and many are as simple as one click! I zoomed in on my Christmas tree, without flash (I do NOT have a great camera, so my tree never looks as pretty in a picture, because it's either flash or no flash - no fancy settings I can do with shutter speed) Was going to use it as a background after just cropping the picture, but when I put it in the table, you could see everywhere it tiled (across the page as well as down).
