We already use some of their stuff. License produced here of course.
The Popeye, AGM-142, is just one example.
Of course they use a lot more of our stuff, F-15, F-16, E-2, F-4, and of course the M-16.
That's not a delivery of weapons to the Israeli government/military, though.
That's a stockpile of US weapons for US use, stored in another country.
Would you say US war material stored in South Korea was property of the South Korean government as well?
Total nonsense.
Looks like Israel will soon have to start purchasing weaponry from India/China/France/Russia again.
Though, France will probably take the money... and then refuse to deliver the goods, just like the last time Israel purchased weaponry from them.
As for China, well... I'm sure that Israel can easily reverse-engineer all their US-made equipment. China would most likely GIVE Israel any quantity of weaponry to get those blueprints? Either that, or their government would finance the construction any number of Israeli-owned, China-based factories used to build those weapons (provided they get some of the weapons, too).
All because the State Department is miffed that Israelis don't want to die at the hands of Palisimians.
(When it become a matter of simply survival as a people, political friendships and loyalty take second place.)
I'd read the post(s) carefully and click the links before I lipped off......yeh.....that's what I'd do.
RUBBISH.
I think the US and Israel should share and collaborate closely since we are both under the same threat. The biggest difference is that Israel is RIGHT NEXT to the threat. We should watch each other's backs.
Does anyone here remember the flap over the patriot missiles? From the expose book by that canadian mossad agent, the israelis will sell technology to china, whoever for CASH. They even once had BOTH SIDES of the tamil war training on the same israeli base at the same time, big worry was one side finding out the other side was there too. Solution here is putting bebe back in as PM, the hizbullah would have been history last summer w/his hand on the helm. Yes, Olmert is trying the peace route w/the $100M to abbas but war w/iran is inevitable, question is : who takes the lead?
I agree. My impression is that the administration was stunned by the way the war was conducted.
Well, in light of the past Israeli avionics collaborations with, say, the Chinese, I would find it understandable. It was a Chinese [or an iranian copy] C-802[?] which hit the israeli gunboat, and one would thope that the lesson it delivered sunk in.
:~)
The administration was stunned by the way the war was NOT conducted.
:~)
Yeah, they didn't know that John Kerry was PM of Israel.
lol, thanks.
The last round in Lebanon was no big deal. That country will be truly destroyed before long. As for southwestern Europe, the Islamofascist will own that very soon, because the two have growing affection and family ties.
Just maybe almost 40 years later somebody in Congress remembers the USS Lberty incident.
I bet most here on FR don't know of it either, that Israel deliberately attacked a US vessel and continued so for over an hour and a half while jamming its attempts to call for help. Claiming it was an accidental identification of another ship almost half the size.
I think Israel right now should very much remember the USS Liberty if they really want our help.
