Foot-in-mouth disease and gaffes on the campaign trail are nothing new when it comes to politicians caught on tape. Thanks to a year largely defined by user-generated content, some of 2006's best political flubs stayed in the spotlight, giving the public at large the opportunity to see and hear the country's elected officials in their own words.

Let those who held their noses and voted cast the first stones here;

Let those who withheld their vote hold here their peace;

for the latter empowered the FLUBBERS.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton (D-Cuba), speaking at a Democratic party fundraiser in San Francisco yesterday, was remarkably frank about the Democrats' intentions to use socialist redistribution policies if the party gains power after the November elections. As reported by the Associated Press, Sen. Clinton said, "Many of you are well enough off that ... the tax cuts may have helped you. We're saying that for America to get back on track, we're probably going to cut that short and not give it to you. We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common good." With her blunt statement, Sen. Clinton has drawn clear the difference between the two major parties: The Marxist Democratic party will "take things away from you on behalf of the common good" while the Republicans will defend your right to spend your money as you see fit because they know it's your money, not the government's....

This will never be broadcasted on ABCNNBC_BS.....NEVER.

As bad as I have disgust for most things Democrat, the real whiner was the Republican leadership.

Republican lawmakers vacillated in the wind, voting every side of the issue.

We loyalists to the party and to our beliefs were left fluttering like some old holey pair of jockey shorts hanging on a cloths line.

Republican lawmakers lied to us and in many cases pissed in our faces when it came to traditional American issues.

Yep, biggest blunder of the year was those who believed that average Republican supporters would continue walking behind blindly as Republican leaders marched off the proverbial cliff.

The biggest blunders included Conservatives allowing "Moderates" to pose as true Republicans and pollute the Party.

It's not time to abandon the (R) party. Not at all. It's time to clean house, take names and kick the Pied Piper RINOs out.

You got that right!

Who knew that so many Republican leaders would go YELLOW ALERT on the party faithful.

Very true. Republicans missed a lot of opportunities in the last six years. Spending was out of control, oversight was lax, nothing was done about the borders and the base was poked in the eye many times. The party was arrogant enough to believe that they could continue to win not by pointing to a stellar record but to pointing to the Dems and saying that "the other guys are worse." Are they worse? Sure, but it is hard to get people excited about voting for your guy when you can't give them a better reason than that and have no coherent message. The few elections before this we had a more unified message and ran a smarter campaign.

I grew up in the deep south and remember seeing overt segregation as a teenager. Until this instance, I had never heard that word.

I'm with you. This aint no time to cut and run from the Party.

I say, pick up a weapon and stand a post. This is our ground and it is our last stance.

If you want to kill unborn babies, run as a Commie DemoRat. If you want to take my gun, run as a Commie Rat. If you want to raise my taxes, run as a Rat. If you want to weaken our Intel and Military, run as a rat.

Elect no RINOs in the Primary and you will have no problem. Clean the Party up from within. And DINOs are better then RINOs. I mean, I like Zell Miller better then Lincoln Chaffee. RINOs don't belong on Elephant turf.

So I say, pick up a weapon and stand a post (vote 'um out of office). I aint cuttin and runnin' from the Party.

I guess you can't list them all but one of the first ones that came to my mind was Ted "I'm An Excellent Driver" Kennedy calling Barack Obama "Osama Obama".
