"I told the American people I would do everything in my power to protect the country, within the law, and that's exactly how I conduct my presidency."

This is only the beginning. The socialists now in control of the congress will do nothing. Our president is on the side of the enemy, IMHO.

FOLLOW THE MONEY!

Does anyone actually think the "political donor" class would EVER give up "an unlimited supply of $8 dollar an hour workers"?

This is ALL about economics, always has been.

The more foreign workers the "political donor class" can get into the country the lower the pay of all workers. This problem can be placed at the feet of the greedy, who would sell out America for an extra 1/2% return on investment.

Imagine the ripple effect on the economy that "an unlimited supply of $8 an hour workers" has on an economy? Ask anyone with a background in economics what happens when supply is increased, then ask what happens when supply is unlimited.

We are being screwed by the politicians who owe all the the 'employer/political donor' class.

Call me what you will, but I do know that you need wealthy people to live in a wealthy country. I suffer no "class envy", but I believe the game is now being rigged by those with the money to control the system.

I have heard the LIE spoken from the mouth of our president, whom I may add I walked precincts for in the last 2 general elections, "they are just doing the jobs Americans do not want to do".

The truth is simply "Why pay the wages an American would demand when a criminal immigrant would do this job for $8 an hour".

This could be the death of the middle class, IMHO. This is ALL about keeping wages down for the majority for the benefit of the minority.

Border security is meaningless to those who control the reins of power. This incursion is only inconvenient because it alerts the 'rabble'(us) to the border issue.

I am not insulted. However, your prior argument for reasonable debate seems pretty fatuous, don't you think?

I think you are sly and very practiced at ignoring the substance of what someone says, and looking for ways to knock a person off balance in a discussion through use of a guilt trip. Doesn't work on me.

Your very first post to me here was actually a bit of spam you sent verbatim to at least two other posters. You even made the identical (and absurd) comment in each of your spam posts, to wit, "You must be another believer in a permanent second class, then."

When you wrote that to me I ignored it, because I thought you had me confused with someone else. So you posted to me on another thread here. I then responded to you in very strong terms, at precisely the level someone deserves who uses spamming techniques while ignoring the substance of what others have to say.

And now you're whining like a two-year-old because someone pushed back at you. Spare me your phony attempts to paint yourself as some lofty, put-upon soul who is just trying to save the Republic. You bore me.

In my experience, once you retreat it only gets worse

Mine too.

Which means the fun's just getting started.

It isn't necessarily that the policies they claim to support are off-the-wall. It's that this crowd always demands the most hard-line solutions, and will accept nothing less than that or, like five-year-olds, they throw tantrums. In fact, such people seem to be in a state of perpetual tantrum.

That "spam" as you put was only posted three times. It was posted to each person that supported Dane in his comtempt for people who wish to retain the sovereignty of this country. Dane has continuously posted in favor of lax laws regarding illegals. His technique is to attack those who oppose amnesty. By inference one could assume that he is in support of amnesty. Since you posted such loving and doting response to his posts I inferred that you supported "comprehensive reform" otherwise know as amnesty. Am I wrong?

In response to your support for Dane I asked if you would support a permanent second class. If you had bothered to read the entire Heritage report you would see that the illegals are part of second class and will most likely remain there. Making them legal will not change that. In fact, supporting them as new citizens will come at a great cost. Most live at or below the poverty line. Granting them legal status after years of law breaking would be a grievous error. It would show utter contempt to those that are trying to come here legally and those that came before them legally.

As the White House and Congress prepare to overhaul the nation's immigration laws, U.S. officials have concluded that they lack the technology and resources to handle the millions of applications for legal residency that could result from the changes and that several efforts to modernize computers have gone astray.

Immigration officials have said for years that it is critical to update an antiquated, paper-based application process before the government grants a new path to citizenship for as many as 12 million illegal immigrants living in the United States or creates a temporary-worker program, as senators and the Bush administration propose.

But in recent months, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) officials have determined that the troubled, $2-billion-a-year agency is unable to effectively manage its existing work, much less a flood of new applications. From here.

For those that want a "reasonable solution" ponder the previous. Our govt. can't process the legal aliens it wants to bring in. Beginning any kind of verification or legalization process for 12 million plus all at once would certainly put the legal applicants on the back burner and completely overwhelm the system to point where demands would be made to simply give it up. The outcry to simply declare these invaders legal citizens would reach a feverish pitch and many would simply capitulate. Many are choosing to do so now.

I have asked others and now I ask you: Are the soldiers dying, as well the those in the past who have given their lives defending the sanctity of the United States, to rest in their graves knowing that that which they gave their live for was given away to criminal invaders?

To so many the honor, as well as the responsibility, of being an American has been so watered down that they see nothing wrong with giving away that which was fought so hard for and has been defended by so many - the right to be an American citizen.

Call me whatever you want. I take too much pride in my American citizenship to have my citizenship debased by rewarding illegal invaders with the same honor.
