Well I realize that people make mistakes. But in this case, it's a good thing. Rot in Hell Fidel!

They probably would have left behind a few sea urchins.

Too bad that the Spanish surgeon, Jose Luis Garcia Sabrido, took a chartered flight to Cuba to attend "el Dictator".

Now, he'll never get home...alive!

Why do people such as Castro and Arafat live such long lives?

If he was just a regular guy, they would have given him a colostomy bag and everything would have been fine. But they tried to do something special for their great leader.

There's not enough information to judge. I'm just a regular guy, had the same surgery with no colostomy, and I had no complications. About a third of my colon is missing, but I don't miss it.

Age may be a factor in this case, but the initial procedure wasn't anything special.

"It's not a good story. Too bad they didn't send him to Miami for surgery," said Dr. Charles Gerson, a clinical professor of medicine in the gastroenterology division of New York's Mt. Sinai School of Medicine.

1) Yes, it is a good story. A vile, evil, despicable, subhuman monster is dying the horrible, painful death he deserves.

2) Anybody in Miami who perfomed the surgery to save this loathsome beast would be tarred, feathered, and run out of town by angry (and rightfully so) Cuban ex-pats.

Delicious irony

Isn't it, though! I read James Taranto's (sp?) piece the Opinion Journal where he goes into minute detail about Fidel's difficulties. Icky as it sounded, I'm having trouble feeling sorry for Fidel.

Castro had received questionable or even botched care at the hands of health experts on his communist-ruled island

I'm thinking perhaps some of these doctors were somewhat "forward thinking" to a Cuba without Castro in the way they handled the case.

Cartoon idea: Castro asking surgeon,

Or:

Castro, Looking around at Docor's: Which of you was trained in USA? I do not want any third world hack cutting me up.
