SPRINGFIELD - U.S. Sen. Barack Obama appeals to a cross-section of America as an eloquent speaker with the potential to bridge a political battlefield bloodied by years of fighting.
But underlying the Chicago Democrat's sudden rise to fame over the past two years is a solid liberal record built over 10 years in Springfield and Washington, D.C.
It's the kind of record that, no doubt, will help him in such places as Iowa's first-in-the-nation caucuses should he run for the presidency. But it could leave some people questioning his ability to narrow the partisan divide.
Obama, who objects to ideological labels, wins high marks from progressives on environment, abortion and labor issues, as well as on civil liberties and education, all of which are vital to winning the Democratic Party's presidential nominating process. He also clearly spoke out against going to war in Iraq in 2002.
And just last week he took a hard line on President Bush's plan to boost troop levels in that war-torn country, proposing a cap and a phased withdrawal.
Last year, Obama got 100 percent scores from the AFL-CIO, League of Conservation Voters and Planned Parenthood and an "A" rating from the National Education Association on their most recent scorecards.
Obama voted against legislation what would have required medical be given to babies born after a botched abortion.

He'll be a great part of a well-rounded Democrat ticket --- Hillary/Obama -- one has a penis and the other is sensitive about his ears.
That will be a tough vote to explain. But Obama is dangerous in that he does try to articulate moderate positions eventhough his record is far left.
I believe that Obama won't even be on the ticket. His involvement is strictly for voter registration and cheer-leading. At the convention he'll back Hillary 100%.
Obama will bring the black voters, Bill Richardson will bring the Hispanics, and they'll all have a great time reforming our nation into a new socialistic state run by trial lawyers!
Please post some kind of link for this. I'd LOVE to use this against some pinko's I know.
He voted against requiring medical care for aborted fetuses who survive. He supported allowing retired police officers to carry concealed weapons, but opposed allowing people to use banned handguns to defend against intruders in their homes. And the list of sensitive topics goes on.

Hillary/Obama
Balls & Big Ears
OK - so here is the begging questions:
Which of the following would be worse for the US as POTUS?
Hitlery Rotten Klintoon
or
Obama-Osama
?
The way I see it - there isn't a dime's worth of difference - and at least one is slightly more lady-like than the Hildebeast...
I suspect Barrack Hussein Obama will pander to the Jewish, moderate Democrat, southern Democrat, and Irish voters by having his name legally changed to Barrauch Hubert Humphrey O'Bama and go by the nickname "Sweet Home" O'bama. This guys is an empty suit.
Collectivists like Obama and Hillary have much in common. They both get A+ (/bert) grades from the globalists.

From what I have read of his speeches, he really does not say anything. He speaks in vague language that could mean anything. I think most people would not find him to be an attractive candidate. All of the buzz is just the left and its media on a wet dream.

This is what I found online.
Between late 06 to middle 08
Barack could’ve voted 576 times on various issues.
He voted 353 of the 576 times. The 223 missing votes were entered as NV. “Not Voting, or Present”
Almost half. I wonder if I could do half of my job and stay employed.. :)
My two cents worth... :]
Is America really going to elect a guy that has no right to such a powerful office just because of his race? It surly can’t be due to his political views or values. He didnt even want to get involved enough to vote on the majority of issues being put to a vote in the senate during his short political career.
Come on America; don’t follow the Shepard to the slaughter house. I say we leave him wanting!
