Meant to mention that yesterday hitlery referred to her efforts at reforming education in Arkansas.

This would be a perfect time to let the world know what an utter failure her efforts were.

I think that's the title they used. Maybe I misheard. Brit's wife, Kim, was in the position and retired .. left .. for whatever reason we've never heard. So, in one way this is good . in another way, Brian will be off the air ... after today. I like him a lot, and I'll miss him. Hope they'll think about reconfiguring the position to allow some airtime.

Steppie on Duncan Hunter: "I don't think he has a chance....longest of the long shots."

The un-endorsement to launch a viable and credible Presidential campaign!

I missed part of the interview, but I heard Michael Steele put up a pretty good defense of Pres. Bush while debating Donna Brazile on CNN.

They were discussing the Iraq War resolutions, and had shown clips with the various Senators talking about why they wanted a resolution.

Steele said it would be nice if Senators could disagree with policy, without calling the POTUS names, and have it be a name-calling session.

Donna Brazile said they do NOT call him names, they only refer to him as the "Commander in Chief"....which got a good chuckle from Steele.

I was proud of him...

Then the lack of a mention of Katrina in the SOTU address war brought up by Wolfie.

Donna Brazile...was VERY nice about the help that Pres. Bush has given and was surprised he didn't mention it, so he could get credit...(shocked me)

Kind of like Webb bringing his daddy's picture to school every day. Except that Webb was about 2 or 3 yrs. old at the time of the Berlin airlift.

From The Hill newspaper June 2006.....

Because he was the first Democrat to step up and say publicly last year that he’s exploring running for president, we can assume that Sen. Joe Biden (D-Del.) is plenty interested in the office.

But like most other men, apparently there are things that interest him more.

Speaking to a group of 130 twenty- and thirty-something supporters of his leadership PAC last Thursday, Biden indicated that while he thinks he could be an effective chief executive, as far as the job itself goes, he could take it or leave it.

“I’d rather be at home making love to my wife while my children are asleep,” he said.

Easily, the biggest creepout comment ever made by a politician. Rush ran with the comment for a few days afterward and pointed out Biden's youngest was in his/her mid 20s. I think he heard the comment somewhere, thought it would make him seem romantic, studly, or family oriented. In reality, it made people wretch and laugh....in that order.

It amazes me how some Republicans invoke Reagan as somehow giving them credibility when most of us who lived through the Reagan years so zero positive comparison between them and President Reagan.

>>I wonder if it is a Mormon thing not to have real principles or core beliefs??

No, but it is a common ailment of politicians. I would hate to judge ANY religion by the politicians who claim to be members of that religion.
