I don't know about Hussein Obama, but his father could have secured the Dem nomination with that resume.

IMHO Obama is just to young to be the President of the USA...If a Baby Boomer is going to be elected to being President let him come from good stock...Clinton was from a dysfunctional family and look how he conducted himself.
Obama might be a decent guy even though he's a *Demo* one stike against him and he's to young.

All his whining about being oppressed because of his skin color is quite unbecoming, but it will definitely play into the liberal myth making machine.

Mr Obama is already Democratic Senator for Illinois
So, they're trying to change their 'title' to make is sound like they're more American--it's the Democrat party.

As the son of drunk and abusive parents, who didn't pass any of it along to my own children, I find articles dragging in ones parents or children to be irrelevant and disgusting.
I oppose Obama due to HIS views, not his parentage.

Hillary can call in these kinds of articles from all over the world. Must keep her hands "clean", dontchya know. Mr. Obama, welcome to the big-time politics. Just remember, that in Arkansas politics, "where the bodies are buried," is not a metaphor.

Thank you for saying it. I too am sick of hearing stories like this, from either side. I don't need to know this one's great-grandpa was an immigrant milk man, that one's father went to Harvard, so-and-so's uncle was a mobster.... Let's just let everyone run on his or her own virtues or vices and stop worrying about lineage.

Now Hillary can claim it's just the "right wing smear machine" whenever something negative appears about Hussein.

That's not racist, it's "earist."
They draw GWB as a "chimp" for similar characteristics, and it's obviously not racist.

Other than it is the name used by Republicans to annoy them, what is your source for that being the official name of the party?
It would seem that "Democrat" is the noun for the party member, and "Democratic" is the adjective label used to name the party.

Go ahead and keep annoying them, but don't mislead fellow conservatives about the matter. It risks making us look ignorant.

Leave it to the British to actually do some investigative reporting on this.
I wouldn't count on this to sink Obama, though: it sounds like an ordinary public life in the age of Clinton.
Obama can even turn this to his favor, as Clinton turned his parents' mess into a political asset, if he's willing to really face the reality of his father's life, and not the romanticized image.
But growing up in public under the spotlight can be risky.

He grew up thinking of his father as a brilliant intellectual and pioneer of African independence only to learn that in Western terms he was basically a drunken lecher.why did they have to throw in this dig at Bill Clinton ... oh, sorry, nevermind...

He has positioned himself as a devout Christian (having found God, he says, after years as an atheist) Definitely DNC material.
Presidential material?
You decide.
Hitlery obviously has her crones at work preemptively.
Let them eat each other and just maybe we will be blessed with a true leader in '08.
